Outrage over the Cracker Barrel logo is coming loudest from folks who haven’t been through the door since grandma was still paying the check. Nostalgia is a funny thing people remember rocking chairs in the logo that were never there, and now they’re furious. Meanwhile, the real issue isn’t the logo. It’s that 18–34 year olds don’t even consider Cracker Barrel. That’s why the company is spending $700M on remodels, menu updates and kitchen upgrades.
