It doesn't get any better than this? I hope it does.

Al has organised a fishing trip for himself at his boss's mountain cabin: a week all by himself doing nothing but fishing and drinking. Unfortunately for Al, Peggy and Marcy invite themselves along and spend the whole time arguing with each other. Meanwhile, Kelly and Bud have been left looking after Seven, but use the old 'parakeet' trick to keep him quiet: place a blanket over his head so that he thinks it is night and goes to sleep. Jefferson spends loads of Marcy's money to try and show her how little he was costing her before.

A totally forgettable episode, this one is short on laughs and features way too much of Seven (ie. He is in it!). Peggy and Marcy bickering isn't at all funny, and neither is the whole 'parakeet' ruse employed by the kids to control Seven. Marcie gives Jefferson a wedgie when she finds out what he has done -- unsophisticated humour, even by MWC standards.

It Doesn't Get Any Better Than This

This isn't the best episode of this show, with the plot hanging more than a little thin, especially the subplot with the kids.

Ed O'Neil carries things, as he always does, but I'd skip this episode next time.

Bud and Kelly are mad about being left home alone without parental supervision however, this is not valid because both are adults over the age of 21 at this point.
    • Quotes

Bud: Curse you. I curse you to your worst nightmare, an eternity of being together... and you can't leave the bedroom... and Grandma's there... and she's out of Depends.

      Kelly: Bud.

      Bud: What?

Kelly: Mom and Dad just left us alone. Alone, with no parental supervision.

[Bud thinks about this for a second]

Bud: And stay out. Yes, finally alone. Free, free to run amuck.

      [Bud rubs his hands]

Bud: Oh the hooters I'll be a-juggling.

Kelly: Yeah well, don't hurt your hand on the staples.
