🌍 Advancing Climate Resilience in Central Europe: Climate_CRICES Partners Gather in Zagreb Between July 9–10, 2025, the Climate_CRICES project partners came together in Zagreb, Croatia, for a two-day transnational meeting hosted by local partner REGEA. The gathering marked a major milestone in the project’s mission to strengthen climate adaptation efforts across Central Europe. 🌱 Over the course of the meeting, partners: ✅ Reviewed project progress 🛠️ Refined technical tools 🤝 Aligned on next steps for implementation and stakeholder engagement 🧠 Day 1: Technical & Strategic Coordination Highlights included: 🔍 A comprehensive review of Work Package 1 (WP1), led by IOER 📊 In-depth discussions on the CRICES climate dashboard, a decision-support tool helping municipalities respond to local climate risks. 💻 Partners from CSI and UPWR explored data integration, usability, and on-the-ground support during the pilot phase. 🤲 Stakeholder engagement strategies emphasized inclusive, place-based approaches—drawing on local knowledge and promoting community co-ownership of adaptation measures. 📢 Day 2: Operational Coordination & Communication 🗣️ CDDA led a session on strategic communication, focusing on engagement that drives action and fosters regional learning. 📅 The Lead Partner team shared updates on project management, financial planning, and timelines for Year 2. 🚶♀️ A special highlight: a walking tour of Zagreb, exploring: 🏙️ Urban evolution 🌳 Green-buffered neighborhoods 🌿 Local resilience strategies blending heritage and sustainability As Climate_CRICES moves into the pilot phase, the Zagreb meeting reaffirmed the power of cross-border collaboration 🌐.
