10 Electrical Fires Prevented – and Counting!
One year ago, the Philadelphia Contributionship launched the TPC Ting Fire Prevention Program as part of our mission to protect our policyholders and their homes. In partnership with Whisker Labs, TPC offered Ting - a plug-in sensor and three years of fire prevention service - for free to qualified policyholders.*
We’re proud to share that the TPC Ting Program is already making a meaningful difference in the lives of our policyholders. In its first year, Ting detected 10 electrical hazards, each one a potential fire prevented, and a family protected. This milestone reflects TPC’s ongoing commitment to helping policyholders live more safely.
We will never know the damage those 10 potential fires would have caused, from the destruction of property to the loss of sentimental items and memories. TPC is grateful to have played a part in protecting our policyholders from the devastating effects of electrical fires.
Following the success of our first year, TPC is pleased to continue to enhance home safety by extending the TPC Ting Program with additional free sensors and services for our policyholders.
What is Ting?
Ting is an innovative plug-in sensor and fire prevention service that monitors for hidden hazards that lead to electrical fires within a home’s wiring, devices, and utility equipment. If a hazard is detected, Ting alerts the homeowner and leads them through every repair step. Beyond fire prevention, Ting also provides real-time alerts for power outages and even provides assistance for frozen pipe prevention as part of its commitment to helping keep families safe and informed.
What is the TPC Ting Program?
In partnership with Whisker Labs, qualified TPC policyholders* can enroll in the TPC Ting Program and receive a Ting plug-in sensor, lifetime hardware warranty, 3 years of fire prevention service, and a $1,000 credit for labor repair costs of Ting-identified hazards – completely free.
Who qualifies for the TPC Ting Program?
*The TPC Ting program is available in MD, NJ, PA, and VA. To be eligible to participate in the TPC Ting Program, you must have an active owner-occupied homeowner’s policy from The Philadelphia Contributionship. Limited supplies available in participating states. Limit one Ting sensor per household/account.
How do I enroll in the TPC Ting Program?
Visit our TPC Ting Program enrollment site and enter your information. If you are qualified for the TPC Ting Program, your Ting device will be sent to your address. From there, simply follow the included instructions and install your device in just 2 minutes.
