A busy week in #Riyadh as we prepare for our market study visit to the Kingdom in Q4. We began at the Federation of Saudi Chambers, where we explored new business opportunities and discussed the formation of the 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐈𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡-𝐒𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐢 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 - a strategic initiative to deepen trade and investment ties between both countries. A highlight of the trip was our visit to KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology) now recognised as a 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭. #KACST plays a pivotal role in Saudi Arabia’s #Vision2030 by supporting #R&D, #entrepreneurship, and #infrastructure development. It hosts incubators and accelerators that empower startups and innovators, positioning the Kingdom as a global innovation hub. We also toured The Garage | الكــراج , the largest startup hub in the Middle East, developed by #KACST. It offers startups access to office space, networking, and acceleration programs. Finally, it was great to connect with the team at Cipher | سايڤر | سايڤر, where we discussed the booming #ICT market, opportunities and how we can work more closely together.   Irish exports to Saudi Arabia have increased by 𝟗% in 𝐇𝟏 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 and we've seen significant growth in Irish companies doing business in #KSA as part of #Vision2030. ✈️ 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑨𝒗𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑻𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝑩𝒆𝒕𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝑰𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑴𝒐𝒓𝒐𝒄𝒄𝒐 🇮🇪🤝🇲🇦 As part of this week’s Market Study Visit to #Morocco, the Enterprise Ireland MENA team had the privilege of engaging with key leaders across Morocco’s dynamic aviation sector led by our very own Sara Assmann. We were warmly welcomed by Mr. Raphael Samson, Directeur Général of Institut des Métiers de l'Aéronautique (IMA) in Casablanca. The tour of IMA was truly inspiring — a testament to Morocco’s growing aerospace capabilities and commitment to talent development. It was an honour to meet Mr. Adil Jalali, President of GIMAS and COO of Royal Air Maroc, for a rich exchange on how Irish engineering and aviation expertise can support Morocco’s strategic ambitions in the sector. We also had the pleasure of connecting with Ms. Laila Mechbal, CEO, and Mr. Moulay Ali Elbahi Idrissi, Commercial Director at Air Arabia Maroc, to explore opportunities for collaboration in enhancing passenger experience and operational efficiency. Our visit to the Office National Des Aéroports (ONDA) was another highlight. A sincere thank you to Mr. Aziz Benjelloun and the ONDA team for the insightful discussions around #Morocco’s evolving aviation infrastructure and shared goals in sustainability, smart mobility, and airport innovation.
