RETHINKING DECAF — THE CUPRIMA APPROACH Decaf has come a long way -and for roasters, it presents both a challenge and an opportunity: how to preserve complexity, expression, and integrity in the absence of caffeine. At CUPRIMA, we approach decaf along two distinct paths: → A gentle, sugarcane-based process at origin in Colombia → And naturally low-caffeine varietals like Laurina and Aramosa, grown with care in Brazil Both reflect our commitment to what matters most: °Cup Quality – Green coffee selected to preserve clarity, balance, and true origin character °Origin Value – Decaffeination and cultivation choices that keep value at source, not just at destination °Sustainability – From reduced shipping and minimal chemical use to agro-innovation and biodiversity, every decision aligns with our ethos of responsible, flavour-forward sourcing From sugarcane sorcery in Colombia to genetically mellow marvels in Brazil -this is decaf, redefined Cuprima

Happy to welcome Janos Kophazi to the CUPRIMA team as our new Sales Representative for Eastern Europe! Earlier in May, János hit the road with Thibault Chauvin to meet with partners and explore the vibrant coffee communities across the region. The trip was filled with great conversations around specialty coffee, origins, and flavour profiles – a perfect start for János, who brings a roaster’s palate and a deep passion for quality to the role. You might spot a few roasters and cupping tables in the photos – hard to resist when you're as passionate about coffee as János is! We’re thrilled to have you on board – welcome, János! CUPRIMA TURNS FIVE — HIGH FIVE TO THE FUTURE! From our first cupping sessions in the middle of a global standstill to building resilient, trust-based supply chains across origins — it’s been five years of purpose, pivots, and progress. We didn’t start with a bang, but with a belief: that coffee can be a bridge between identity and impact. Today, we celebrate that belief — and the partners, producers, and roasters who made it real. Here’s to the First Five. And to Brewing what’s Next, Together. Thank you to the Specialty Coffee Association for organising the 2025 SCA Expo in Houston, the final event under the "Specialty Coffee Expo" name. This year’s event was the largest to date, bringing together over 17,000 coffee professionals from 89 countries at the George R. Brown Convention Center. It was a great opportunity for cupping, engaging in discussions, and making new connections. For CUPRIMA & EFICO, the SCA Expo provided a chance to reconnect with partners, sample coffees from upcoming harvests, and share ideas across the coffee value chain. The energy at the Cupping Exchange, Roaster Village, and Green Coffee Connect was a reminder of how collaboration continues to drive the industry forward. A notable highlight was the announcement of a new partnership between the SCA and the Coffee Quality Institute to develop the Q Grader Program, helping to advance coffee quality and education. We also enjoyed the competition highlights, which showcase the skill and dedication within the coffee community. Looking ahead, we’re excited to continue collaborating and sharing insights, with the next North American edition of World of Coffee in San Diego, April 10–12, 2026, already on our radar.
