Zaterdag is het zover(!), want dan steken Jani en James 👨🏼⚕️🪩👨🏼⚕️ de handen uit de mouwen in — *tromgeroffel* 🥁 — Revalidatieziekenhuis RevArte! 👩🏻🦽💯 Begin deze zomer kon je ze misschien al spotten 🔦 op en rond onze campus in Edegem: het (vr)olijke duo Jani (Kazaltzis) en James (Cooke) hielden met hun kleurrijke camper 🚌💨 halt aan ons revalidatieziekenhuis in het kader van het Play4-programma 'Jani en James doen-het-zelf'. De twee heren merkten al snel dat revalideren een topsport is waar elke stap vooruit — letterlijk en figuurlijk — als een overwinning aanvoelt. 💪🏻✨ Samen met onze revalidatie-experts zorgden ze voor dat extra duwtje in de rug en stonden ze even stil bij de unieke en inspirerende verhalen die elke dag bij ons geschreven worden. 📸 #MobHub, Heverlee 🇧🇪 In samenwerking met STRABAG Belgium zijn wij na een intensieve #werkvoorbereiding eindelijk begonnen met de #ruwbouw 🏗️ van een nieuw parkeergebouw van 9 verdiepingen hoog. In totaal zal het gebouw 27.000 m² beslaan, waardoor er in totaal 850 🚗 auto’s 🚙 kunnen parkeren! Peikko Benelux levert haar #DELTABEAM® staal-betonligger die geschikt is als ondersteuning voor de circa 15 meter #welfsels. De stalen ligger wordt volgestort met #beton en worden de vloerelementen aan elkaar gekoppeld. Hierdoor onstaat een sterke, stijve en brandwerende ligger. Architect: SVR-ARCHITECTS

In 2023 startten VITO en Van Roey met de bouw van het ‘Earth’ labogebouw in Mol, de eerste stap van het VITO Sustainability Park. KEBRO realiseerde de gepolierde betonvloer in de piloothal en nam ook de volledige buiteninfrastructuur voor zijn rekening. LEUVEN BIOSCIENCE CENTRE INAUGURATED: A BUILDING DESIGNED TO BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER   Last Friday, KU Leuven officially inaugurated the new Leuven Bioscience Centre: a 30.000 m², 12-storey research building that will bring together 500 researchers who are nowadays spread across the city. We were asked to design more than just a high-performance lab building. The real ambition? To create a place at Campus Arenberg III where all researchers in the field of bioscience will meet. Some quotes we picked up last week:   “The building is not just a workplace, but a meeting point.” “Researchers from different disciplines come together here to exchange knowledge in open ‘livingrooms'.” “We are investing not only in science, but in well-being and a livable, sustainable working environment.” "Is really is a building with beautiful possibilities, with plenty of attention to space and light."   At the heart of the building lies a series of duplex and triplex spaces: open, light-filled voids that span multiple floors. These ‘livings’ will act as vertical hubs of interaction, bringing together people and programm. Their presence is made visible in the façade, giving expression to the building’s social role within the science park.
