  • Sometimes your first job sets the tone for everything that follows. For Jake Toews, that job started as a co-op on our Learning & Development team. He didn’t know what to expect; only that he wanted to be somewhere that matched his passion. What he found was more than a role: stretch assignments that scared him, a team that trusted him, and moments that felt like they belonged in a movie. Two years later, Jake’s no longer the co-op looking for direction. He’s mentoring the next student, building a career, and reminding us what growth looks like when people are supported to try, stumble, and stretch. Read his full story ↓ #ArcteryxLife #TheBirdCoop

  • No Wasted Days started in our backyard, but it’s becoming something much bigger. What began as a spontaneous rule in North Vancouver — when the snow’s deep enough, the mountains win — has grown into a global tradition.   Last month, our Japan team embraced their first No Wasted Day by gathering in Yuzawa to celebrate the start of the Fuji mountain season. Some hiked and foraged in the forest. Others trail ran or climbed near home. Everyone made space for the outdoors and made it their own.   No Wasted Days isn’t just about getting outside. It’s about choosing presence, joy, and community when the opportunity shows up.   Watch how our team in Japan brought it to life. 📹: NESTBOWL #ArcteryxLife #ArcteryxJapan

  • When Nick Will first joined Arc’teryx as an Assistant Store Manager, he admits he “didn’t know what [he] wanted.” What followed was a series of leaps: saying yes to leadership, moving across continents, opening our first Sydney stores, and eventually stepping into a strategic role shaping how retail grows globally. His journey proves that retail isn’t just a landing place — it can be a launchpad. One built on curiosity, stretch, and sometimes, ordering the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich when you probably shouldn’t. 🌶️ Read Nick’s full story. ↓ Explore our retail roles: https://lnkd.in/dtCFfnay #ArcteryxLife #ArcteryxCareers

  • The best leaders don’t arrive at leadership. They grow into it. For Andreas Misar, Store Manager at our Parndorf Outlet, retail has been a space of steady growth where each challenge, conversation, and milestone has shaped his journey into a more confident, capable leader. He started young, drawn in by the joy of helping people gear up for their next mountain adventure. Even when life took him elsewhere, retail kept calling him back, not for the transaction, but for the connections. Over time, his view of leadership evolved. “What matters most,” Andreas says, “is that my team feels supported and connected. When that happens, success follows because people stand up for each other and grow together.” ‘Live It’ to him means more than wearing the gear and being outdoors. It’s hiking together, pushing limits as a team, and sharing experiences you carry for years. Its morning smiles, the unshakeable trust and the pride of watching people grow in ways they never expected. Andreas’ journey proves retail can be more than a job. It can be the place where purpose and leadership meet and keep growing. • When leadership is about lifting others, recognition takes on a different shape. For Christian Melecio, Assistant Manager at our Old Orchard store in Chicago, it meant heading to Boulder, Colorado for Arc’Adventure — our recognition experience for team members who bring our values to life. Christian was nominated for the way he leads with curiosity, creates space for belonging, and leaves every place better than he found it. That recognition turned into a week in the mountains. It wasn’t just time away from the store. It was a pause to reflect, to experience something new, and to return with fresh stories, a different perspective, and maybe a little more sun on his face. • Cypress Mountain gave us everything we needed – adrenaline, reflection, sunshine and sore quads. Arc'Social, a day designed to connect and Live It, brought together employees from Headquarters, ARC'One (our manufacturing facility) and the Design Center to step away from the everyday and reconnect – on the trails and with each other.     There was axe throwing, hikes, a climbing wall and the slightly unhinged eagle coaster. In between, we had conversations about what we're building through learning stations hosted by internal teams across Learning & Development, Employee Belonging Councils, ReBIRD and more.    "The best part was seeing people who don't usually cross paths – sewers, engineers and recruiters – share the trail, stories, and a sense of belonging. When we create intentional space for connection, the rest takes care of itself. That’s the magic of this day.” Renita Manj, Sr. Manager, Employee Experience Events   We came back a little tired, a little muddy and a lot more connected. A good day in every sense.    P.C. • Some roles stretch you. Others shape you. Marissa Ully has done both. She joined Arc’teryx in 2023 as a Store Manager, first launching our Calgary Cross Iron Mills location, then leading the team at Chinook Centre. Today, she works as a Workforce Management Implementation Specialist, still deeply rooted in the retail side of our business. Earlier this year, Marissa was selected for a pilot leadership initiative for our retail teams, supporting the opening of our first mountain store in Banff through the Ridge Runner program. Chosen for her agility, curiosity, and drive to 'Leave it Better,' she stepped in to coach a brand-new team, partner across HQ, and grow her own leadership in the process. “This opportunity pushed me to become a better listener and a more intentional coach," she says. "I learned to tune into what was truly needed and co-create solutions, rather than jumping in with answers." Her story is a reminder that growth doesn't always look like a leap. Sometimes, it's one thoughtful step and the right support – at a time. • As part of their Live It Day, our Chicago Oakbrook retail team spent time hiking Starved Rock with Chief White Winnebago of the Ho-Chunk Nation. This experience was part of an ongoing effort by the team to deepen their understanding of the cultures and histories connected to the land — spending time with local voices, listening and learning. Live It Days are a chance for our teams to step outside the day-to-day; sometimes to reset, reconnect and sometimes to learn. Along the trail, the team helped clear debris and listened as Chief shared stories of growing up on this land, its history and the truths that are often left out. This one was rooted in curiosity and care. A reminder that getting outdoors can also mean looking inward. Photo Credits: Annabelle Broeffle #LiveIt #ArcteryxLife

  • "At the start of the year, I signed up for two races. I ended up doing five."    Aleks, a Product Guide in our Toronto Eaton Centre store, didn't plan on going that far until his Assistant Store Manager, Eimante, and his team, started cheering him on. Every day.    That kind of energy grounded in support, shared momentum and belief can shape more than goals. It shapes careers.    It's one of the many ways our retail teams live what it means to move together.    Want in? https://lnkd.in/dtCFfnay    📹 : Xavier Y. #ArcteryxLife #ArcteryxToronto

  • New ground. Same spirit.

It’s been a whirlwind month for Arc’teryx across the globe, and we’re thrilled to share some incredible milestones. We’ve just opened our very first store in Australia’s capital—Arc’teryx Canberra bringing the mountain spirit to the heart of the city. Over in the UK, we’ve planted our flag in Manchester, our first store outside of London, in a city known for its creativity. In Beijing, we’ve launched the Arc’Lounge inside the iconic Peninsula Hotel—a refined space where community, design, and performance come together. Three bold new doors in three dynamic cities—each one a reflection of what we can achieve together. A huge shout-out to the teams who made it happen. If you’re in the neighborhood, drop by and say hi. We’d love to see you.
