⭐ A little professional news ⭐ After 14 amazing years, I've moved on from my role as CEO of Canada Learning Code! While bittersweet, I couldn't be more excited because Canada Learning Code has merged with Ampere 🫶 As I've always believed, our collective actions and work in this sector is what has allowed us to have such an incredible, deep impact from creating millions of learning experiences to seeing classrooms adopt computer science in K-8 curriculum across the country to seeing so many more equity-deserving folks access careers in tech. Through this merger, we will be able to accomplish more than any of our orgs could alone, and I know we're just getting started! On the CLC side, all of our programs and partnerships will remain active with new leadership under Ampere and I can't wait to see where visionary, bold and thoughtful CEO, Ryan Oliver takes this new combined vision. To the whole team at Ampere: Thank you for embracing us with open arms. Our history has been interwoven for a long time and it feels so fitting to be opening this new chapter with all of you. To our Board (past and present) who strategically and thoughtfully guided our work and decision, to our funders and partners, our thousands of volunteers - mentors and Chapter Leads, hundreds of team members, bright and amazing learners, educators and countless other champions and cheerleaders: Thank you, thank you, thank you! It has been the honour of a lifetime to steward this work, build, iterate, re-build and truly shape the CS movement in Canada.
