Joining forces for children in Argentina 💙💚💛 In Buenos Aires, bioMérieux volunteers came together to support our amazing Partners Fundación Sí Argentina and Fundación Kaleidos, through a very special Children’s Day campaign. Both initiatives are part of our commitment to give vulnerable young children the best start in life, from early learning and emotional skills (Si Pueden) to daycare and support for children of adolescent parents (Jardín Maternal Jakairá). 🔬 Curiosity can change lives, and all children should have the chance to explore, question, and grow through science, no matter their background. The bioMérieux volunteers in San Jose, North America, helped bring this belief to life through their meaningful contribution. In partnership with our nonprofit partner Science is Elementary, they came together to assemble hands-on science kits for preschoolers in disadvantaged communities. These kits are part of the Science is for me program, which makes #science fun, tangible, and accessible for children aged 5 to 7. Over the next three years, this initiative will reach 15,500 children and families, opening new doors to curiosity, confidence, and future opportunities in STEM. 👏 Congrats to Science is Elementary for their outstanding commitment to making science education accessible to all and to our amazing Project Partner Diana Hooker Romero, PhD. 📢 We are announcing today that our BIOFIRE® SPOTFIRE® Respiratory/Sore Throat (R/ST) Panel Mini has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance and CLIA waiver for the addition of Anterior Nasal Swab (ANS) as a validated specimen type for this panel, designed for use with the respiratory test menu. By swabbing only the anterior part of the nasal cavity, ANS provides significantly more comfort for the patient. Offering sample type flexibility also enables healthcare professionals to adapt their approach to enhance patient well-being. That’s why we are honored to support Slum2School Africa in building this innovative bamboo stilt #school in a water-surrounded slum community in Lagos. Designed to be sustainable and fully integrated into its environment, this school now welcomes 210 children in a space that inspires learning and growth. Beyond the building itself, the project ensures real educational impact by training local teachers and supporting early childhood development, helping shape brighter futures from the very beginning.
