Mit großer Trauer geben wir bekannt, dass unser geschätzter Firmengründer Dr. Wolfgang Ludwig Lindner am 04. September 2024 im Alter von 81 Jahren verstorben ist. Dr. Lindner war ein visionärer Wegbereiter im Kunststoffrecycling. Mit seiner Weitsicht und seinem unermüdlichen Engagement legte er 2008 gemeinsam mit seinen Söhnen den Grundstein für die APK AG und schuf damit die Basis für eine innovative Technologie, die heute einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Kreislaufwirtschaft leistet. Seine Leidenschaft, seine Ideen und seine Innovationskraft prägen unser Unternehmen bis heute. In dieser schweren Zeit gilt unser tief empfundenes Mitgefühl seiner Familie und allen Angehörigen. With his foresight and tireless commitment, he and his sons laid the foundations for APK AG in 2008, creating the basis for a pioneering technology that today makes an important contribution to the circular economy. His passion, his ideas and his innovative strength characterise our company to this day.  Our deepest sympathy goes out to his family and all his loved ones at this difficult time. What's on your radar for flexible packaging right now? 🎯 💭 Things that caught our eye from #CEFLEX stakeholders 👉 ♻ LyondellBasell (LB) acquired full ownership of APK AG with plans to adopt the solvent-based recycling technology for low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and increasing recycling rates for hard-to-recycle flexible plastic waste. LB has plans to produce and market at least 2 million metric tons of recycled and renewable-based polymers annually by 2030 and connect complementary mechanical and advanced recycling operations. The HolyGrail 2.0 Initiative has announced the successful validation of digital watermarking technology in combination with NIR for advanced sorting of flexible packaging. The focus was on sorting flexible packaging to create specific types of output fractions – food-grade PP flexibles and hygiene-grade PE flexibles – from a mixed waste stream. In 2023 Amcor bought about 200,000 metric tons of recycled resin and aluminum, representing nearly 7% of total materials purchased and 8.5% of total resin purchased.
