Kaumba, why should we care about PFAS-free innovations? 💡 💬 PFAS are used in almost every #semiconductor application, powering devices ranging from smartphones to cars and medical equipment.📱However, they are also #ForeverChemicals that don't break down and can harm our planet for generations. 👨👩👦 As a family man, this issue hits close to home. I want my kids — and their kids — to enjoy nature the way we do today. 🌱 That’s why I’m committed to developing #PFAS-free alternatives that protect both semiconductor performance and the environment. How do you make that happen in such a demanding industry? 💬 The semiconductor industry has extremely high technical standards. Customers always ask, "Can it perform?". If the answer is no, the product won't be used, no matter how #sustainable it is. We work closely with customers to develop materials that deliver high #performance and reduced environmental impact. It’s not easy, but it’s essential. What advice do you have for young people in R&D? 💬 Be curious. Be resilient. And enjoy the process! #Innovation is never a straight line. We once spent over a year working on a PFAS-free project that looked perfect on paper but failed in the lab. 🔬 Moments like that can be frustrating, but they’re also the best teachers. Real #progress means testing, falling, learning — and coming back stronger every time. 🙌

Inclusion happens when people come together – on the field and beyond. 🙌 This week, Hanau, home to the Heraeus HQ, is hosting the Special Olympics Hesse State Games. 🏟️   🥋🏀Around 700 athletes with intellectual and multiple disabilities will compete in 11 sports.   More than 400 volunteers are making it all possible – including members of our Group Management Committee, who rolled up their sleeves to support the accreditation process and hand out goodie bags sponsored by Heraeus.   We're proud to contribute both hands-on support and financial backing – with a €10,000 donation to help make this inspiring event happen. ❤️   📸 Swipe through for a few impressions – and best of luck to all athletes!

💬 Arthur Charlet, your career started as a Finance Trainee – today you’re Co-President of Heraeus Medical. Did you ever expect that path? Honestly, no. I didn’t have a master plan – but I’ve always been #curious. Once I feel too comfortable, I get restless. That’s been true from day one. What drove me wasn’t a title, but the chance to #grow. From Finance to M&A, from strategy to sustainability – every chapter added a new perspective. None of it was linear, but each step shaped who I am today. 💬 What helped you most along the way? Openness to change. A strong internal network. And honest feedback – especially through the #TalentProgram. It pushed me to reflect, connect with senior leaders, and see the bigger picture. I learned to trust my instincts, question routines, and stay curious – even when things got uncomfortable. 💬 What’s your advice for anyone who wants to grow at work? 💡Know what motivates you – and talk about it. ❓️Question the status quo, actively drive things forward and launch new initiatives or projects yourself. 🙌 Be brave. The best learning happens when things feel unfamiliar.
