➡️ HORN strengthens sales activities in Asia World´s Premium Technology Supplier HORN Glass Industries is further strengthening its presence in the Asian market, responding to increasing demand as well as growing requirements in the region. Since August 1, 2025, Christian Wittmann has reinforced the sales team and taken responsibility for the East Asia region, which includes China, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Vietnam, and the Philippines. With this expansion, HORN aims to further strengthen its sales activities in Asia and provide customers in the region with Mr. Wittmann as an additional point of contact. Christian Wittmann is a long-standing and experienced employee of the company. He has been with HORN since 2005 and took over as head of combustion and utility department in March 2009. With his technical expertise and in-depth knowledge of HORN’s state-of-the-art and innovative melting furnaces, he is ideally equipped to provide professional consulting to customers in East Asia and to develop tailored solutions together with them. As part of the new sales structure, Christian Wittmann will henceforth be responsible for the East Asian markets, while Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Ulrich Imhof will continue to oversee the regions of Indonesia, Malaysia, India, and Sri Lanka. Sebastian Gallenberger will remain responsible for the Thailand region. ➡️ HORN to execute furnace repair for Stoelzle Glass Group Stoelzle has appointed HORN for the cold repair of its furnace 1. The project includes replacing an existing furnace with a new 200 t/d end fired furnace at Stoelzle´s Heřmanova Hut` plant in the Czech Republic. The 70 m² end fired furnace is designed to produce container glass products in amber and will run on natural gas. To support both the melting process and the refining of the glass, several additional HORN e-Fusion Power Boosting Systems will be installed in the bottom of the melting tank. Proven HORN technology will help to reduce carbon emissions while maintaining high-quality glass production. This is another important step for Stoelzle towards producing glass containers with lower CO2 emissions. The furnace will be equipped with latest glass level measuring system HORN HRD-BEAM, measurement and control technology, combustion system as well as further state-of-the-art equipment. Engineering of the refractories, installation of the steel construction, equipment installation and commissioning will all be carried out under the constant supervision of HORN. The project will be managed and executed by HORN Glass Industries with additional support provided by its subsiduary HORN Moravia a.s. The furnace is considered to be repaired under HORN´s supervision in Q1 2026. ________ ➡️ HORN führt Wannenreparatur für Stoelzle Glass Group durch Stoelzle hat HORN mit der Kaltreparatur seiner Wanne 1 beauftragt. Das Projekt umfasst den Austausch der bestehenden Wanne durch eine neue 200 t/d U-Flammenwanne im Werk Heřmanova Hut` von Stoelzle in der Tschechischen Republik. Die 70 m² große U-Flammenwanne ist für die Herstellung von Behälterglasprodukten in Amber ausgelegt und wird mit Erdgas betrieben. Um sowohl den Einschmelzvorgang als auch das Läutern des Glases zu unterstützen, sind mehrere elektrische Zusatzbeheizungen (HORN E-Fusion Power Boosting) im Boden der Schmelzwanne eingebaut. Die bewährte HORN-Technologie trägt dazu bei, die CO2-Emissionen zu reduzieren und gleichzeitig eine hochwertige Glasproduktion zu gewährleisten. Dies ist ein weiterer wichtiger Schritt für Stoelzle auf dem Weg zur Herstellung von Glasbehältern mit geringeren CO2-Emissionen. Die Wanne wird mit dem neuesten Glasstandmesssystem HORN HRD-BEAM, Mess- und Regeltechnik, Beheizungssystem sowie weiterer modernster Ausrüstung ausgestattet. Das Engineering der Feuerfestkonstruktion, die Installation der Stahlkonstruktion und der Ausrüstung sowie die Inbetriebnahme werden von HORN durchgeführt. Das Projekt wird von HORN Glass Industries geleitet und durchgeführt, mit zusätzlicher Unterstützung durch die Tochtergesellschaft HORN Moravia a.s. Die Reparatur der Wanne unter der Supervision von HORN ist für das 1. ➡️ Cold repair of a tin bath We are currently manufacturing tin bath equipment and a gas measurement, control and safety skid for a US-based customer. Mechanical production, cabling and testing are in progress to provide our customer with high-quality products engineered in Germany. ➡️ HORN confirms 20 installations of their contactless glass level measurement HORN is proud to announce that the HORN HRD-BEAM contactless glass level measurement system has already been installed 20 times on glass furnaces worldwide. Since the use of radar technology in 2021, HORN has been able to ensure high measuring accuracy through precise control of the glass level in conjunction with all common batch charging machines. The resulting higher accuracy in glass level measurement is a very important control component in the glass melting process, as fluctuations in the glass level would affect the uniform operation of the furnace and significantly influence the gob weight. As the HORN HRD-BEAM has no mechanically moving parts, all maintenance work is reduced to a minimum.
