SMA achieved consolidated sales of €684.9 million in the first half of 2025 following on from €759.3 million in the previous year.   The market for the division Home and Business Solutions remained weak in the first half of 2025. Alongside declining growth rates in Germany, competition and price pressures from Asian suppliers has once again risen. Some distributors have persistently high inventory levels, which are only being reduced very slowly.   At the same time, the performance of the Large Scale & Project Solutions division was up on the previous year, as expected. The outlook for this market segment remains good despite uncertainties arising due to customs duties and the still unclear safe harbor requirements under America's new tax and spending bill "One Big Beautiful Bill." We are adapting our organization and focus to best meet our valued customers demand. Mission: “We are saving the little ringed plover!”   The little ringed plover, a protected and endangered bird species, lives on our grounds around the GIGAWATT Factory.   We already protected this rare bird with its yellow eye ring during the construction planning and created three new water basins next to the factory. The favorite habitat of this busy little bird is muddy sand and gravel pits.   Recently, the young birds were in danger while attempting to cross the road. We reacted quickly and, together with NABU e.V., set up temporary barriers at the edges of the property, creating more safety for the young birds. This makes a small but important contribution to preserving biodiversity — right on our doorstep.   A big thank you to all SMA employees who spontaneously offered their support and to NABU for their close cooperation. 🙏 Inga Franziska Löffler

First place for SMA – again! 🙌 In the latest DLG e.V. - German Agricultural Society Image Barometer, we’ve once again been recognized as the most innovative company in renewable energies.   For many farmers, solar energy has long been more than just feeding electricity into the grid. Today, they use the power they generate directly on their farms – for machinery, storage solutions, smart load management, and increasingly, to charge electric vehicles and equipment on site.   Thank you for your trust.  Let’s keep driving the energy transition forward – together.

2 cyclists, 24 hours, 705 kilometers, 13,000 meters of elevation gain – 8th place! 🎉 Our two SMA colleagues Thomas Sämann and Stefan Diederich took part in the legendary 2025 bike race at the Nürburgring, Germany! In the 24-hour race for teams of two, they prevailed against over 220 teams and secured 8th place (!!!) with an average speed of 29.3 km/h and an incredible 13,000 meters of elevation gain. 🚵♂️ The strategy Alternating laps, full throttle on the track, and maximum recovery during the short breaks – sleep? No way! 🎢 The highlights Speeding through the "Fuchsröhre" (Fox Tube) at up to 100 km/h and the tough climb to the Hohe Acht (High Eight) made every lap a challenge. 🌙 The night It was tough, but the atmosphere among the 10,000 participants and the sunrise mobilized their last reserves of energy. 🏁 The finish line With 27 laps, they even exceeded their self-imposed goal of 24 laps – what a team effort! Sunny Central FLEX has left the building! At the Almtal Center in Upper Austria, a kindergarten, nursery, café, and local shops are now reliably supplied with solar power. The system is powered by the Sunny Island X, which is now fully compatible with Sunwoda’s OASIS battery series – including both indoor and outdoor versions.   Thanks to the combination of a photovoltaic system and battery storage, almost the entire on-site energy demand can be covered by self-generated solar energy. Grid consumption is significantly reduced, and load peaks can be effectively managed.   With this successful integration, SMA is expanding its portfolio of battery partners. This increases flexibility in project planning and opens up new options for customers with a wide range of requirements – whether grid-tied or off-grid.   The project was implemented by Energy3000 solar GmbH and installed by our specialist partner Rent Power GmbH.
