Barcelona is one of Europe’s most vibrant summer destinations, known for its blend of modernist architecture, beachside energy, and artistic spirit. Beyond the city’s iconic landmarks, there’s a variety of experiences, both local and just outside the city, that make it worth exploring again and again. ☀️ Here are five places to discover this season: 🎨 Casa Batlló – One of Gaudí’s most imaginative works, this colorful building on Passeig de Gràcia combines curved lines, mosaics, and light-filled interiors. 🌿Collserola Natural Park & Tibidabo - Just beyond the city, this protected natural area offers forest trails, panoramic viewpoints, and a quieter side of Barcelona. At the summit of Mount Tibidabo, the Temple of the Sacred Heart and a historic amusement park overlook the city from one of its highest points. ⛰️ Montserrat - About an hour from the city, this mountain retreat is home to the Santa Maria de Montserrat Abbey, a Benedictine monastery set among dramatic rock formations. The area also offers hiking trails, panoramic viewpoints, and a scenic train that climbs through the surrounding landscape. 🏰 Castell de Montjuïc – Overlooking the port from its hilltop position, this 17th-century fortress offers panoramic views, open-air exhibitions, and a scenic cable car ride to the top. 🚆 Sitges – A charming seaside town about 40 minutes by train from Barcelona, Sitges combines art nouveau architecture, sandy beaches, and a walkable historic center filled with galleries, cafés, and summer festivals. With direct flights to Barcelona from cities across Europe, we connect travelers to this Mediterranean hub, where architecture, coastline, and Catalan culture come together. This August, we proudly sponsored Red Valley Festival in Olbia for the 5th consecutive year, which brought together more than 85,000 people for one of Sardinia’s most anticipated cultural events. 🎶 Supporting festivals like this is part of how we invest in culture and the arts, enriching the cities where we fly and creating shared experiences that go beyond travel. Olbia has long been one of our key strategic bases in Italy, where we also celebrated our 75 millionth passenger earlier this year. In 2025, we will operate 27 routes and 1.1 million seats from the airport, making us the leading carrier by number of destinations served. ✈️ Our sponsorship of Red Valley reflects our long-standing connection with Olbia and our belief in supporting the events that shape its cultural landscape. We thank the festival once again for putting their trust in us as sponsors and for delivering such a memorable edition this year. 🙌 Photo Credit: Gian Carlo Caboni #Volotea #RedValleyFestival #Olbia #CulturalSponsorship #LiveMusic

We’re back this month with our Principles in Action series, highlighting our sixth Leadership Principle: We Question Things. ❓ At Volotea, this principle is about challenging assumptions, even the ones we take for granted. Change is part of our industry, and we believe improvement starts with curiosity. Whether it’s revisiting the basics or asking what others are afraid to say out loud, fresh questions often lead to better answers. 🔍 This month, Alex Moreno, our Strategy and Network Planning Director, shares how this principle has shaped his approach, and how a simple question like “Why not connect small and mid-sized cities?” helped give rise to the airline we are today. Asking questions isn't just encouraged at Volotea — it's how we grow. 💡 📽️ Watch Alex’s story and explore our Culture Deck to see how our principles come to life at Volotea: https://lnkd.in/eRyp2-KA. Next month, we’ll be back with our seventh principle and another story from the team. #Volotea #CompanyCulture #CultureDeck #LeadershipPrinciples #LifeatVolotea

Puglia offers a mix of coastal beauty, historic towns, and local traditions, making it an ideal destination for summer travel. ☀️ Here are five must-see spots to explore across Puglia this season: 🏛️ Bari Vecchia – The historic heart of Bari is a maze of narrow streets, Romanesque churches, and traditional homes where locals still make fresh orecchiette by hand. 🤍 Ostuni – Known as La Città Bianca or “The White Town,” Ostuni is perched on a hill with views stretching over olive groves and the Adriatic coast. Just a short drive from Brindisi, its whitewashed streets, stone archways, and lively squares make it a memorable place to explore. 🌊 Polignano a Mare – Perched on limestone cliffs above the Adriatic, this coastal town is known for its sea caves, cliffside views, and small pebble beaches hidden between dramatic rock formations. 🏡 Alberobello – A UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its trulli, the whitewashed stone houses with conical roofs that give the village its distinctive fairytale appearance. 🏖️ The Maldives of Salento – Near Pescoluse, south of Brindisi, these beaches are celebrated for their shallow turquoise waters and fine white sand, earning their nickname from their resemblance to tropical shores. At Volotea, it’s the dedication, expertise, and collaboration of our teams that keep us moving forward every day. 👥✈️ With our “Meet the Team” series, we’re giving you a closer look at the teams that keep Volotea running and the people who make it happen. 🛠️ How do we keep maintenance operations running seamlessly across our network? With the support of a highly coordinated Logistics Team. This team manages our entire aviation supply chain, ensuring the smooth movement of components, tools, equipment, and structural parts. They make sure everything is in place exactly when and where it's needed. That includes: 🔧 Organizing urgent shipments for AOG (Aircraft on Ground) events 📦 Keeping logistics hubs at each base fully stocked and compliant 🔁 Managing repairs and exchanges with OEMs and suppliers 🔍 Tracking every part to meet strict regulatory and safety standards 💡 Why does it matter? Because a single delayed part can ground an aircraft. The Logistics Team keeps everything moving, making sure our maintenance crews across Europe have the resources they need to keep our fleet safe and service-ready. Their work plays a crucial role in maintaining reliable operations and keeping flights on schedule for our passengers. 👋 Meet the Logistics Team This growing team of 23 includes: Sergi, maurizio, Salvatore, Héctor, Marc, Vitalina, Anton, Ilana, Angelo, Xavier, Cláudia, Tatiana, Adrià, and María, together with Izabela, Belén, Altaf, Alejandro, Sebastian, Kelly, Pol, Pablo, and Albert, who were unavailable for the photo. He reminds us that real progress happens when we involve others, ask questions and stay open to learning at every step. 💬 📽️ Watch Shievar’s story and explore our Culture Deck to see how our principles come to life at Volotea: https://lnkd.in/eRyp2-KA.
