Michael Rathbun was born and raised in Syracuse New York and attended St John Fisher College in Rochester NY where he recieved a B.A in English and Political Science. Michael Rathbun worked in the Criminal Investigation Division and Patrol Bureau as a Sergeant until he was promoted Lieutenant several years later. Michael Rathbun was promoted to Captain in 2001 where he remained until he retired in 2006. Upon retirement, Michael Rathbun took a position within the Syracuse University Department of Public Safety.
