Writing about one’s self is always the hardest thing to do while trying to stay humble. So about me, I grew up here in Reno and Sparks. My family is one of the oldest Latino families in this area. We are one of the pioneers of this town as we have been here since the early 1900’s. I can remember going to elementary through Middle school and being only 1 of 2 Latinos in the entire school. Now you drive by that same school (Veterans Memorial on Vassar Street) and you are lucky if you see a Caucasian child anywhere in the school.
