Having been a lawyer for 10 years I decided to change the course of my career. Bought a sailing yacht Sally Lightfoot and set sail with my young family to circumnavigate Africa in 5 years. Published a series of articles and two books on the voyage. Back ashore I have taken up professional sailing, with yacht Lady Ann to manage and skipper (part time). And with expedition sailing vessel Long Tall Sally as a project still to mature. Also I have taken up travelling overland by 4x4 professionally, writing and photographing along the way.
