The Protocol to the Stabilisation and Association Agreement between the European Communities and their Member States, of the one part, and the Republic of Croatia, of the other part, to take account of the accession of the Republic of Bulgaria and Romania to the European Union (1), which the Council and the Commission decided to conclude on 16 February 2009 (2), entered into force on 1 March 2009, with the last notification of completion of procedures under Articles 12 and 13 of that Protocol having been received on 16 February 2009.
