The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) welcomed more than 2,875 Emirati businesswomen to its membership in the first half of 2025, highlighting women’s growing role in the national economy and Abu Dhabi’s commitment to supporting female-led enterprises.

Chamber data shows that Mobdea licenses, popular for creative and home-based businesses, accounted for the largest share, with 1,352 issued, or 47% of the total.

Tajer Abu Dhabi licenses, which support e-commerce and individual projects, followed with 891 (30%). Other categories included 406 economic licenses, 94 branch licenses, and 86 freelance licenses, reflecting both business expansion and the launch of new specialized ventures.

Emirati women are increasingly active across commerce, services, creative industries, agriculture, and industry, contributing to economic diversification and sustainability. This momentum is supported by the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council, an ADCCI affiliate that provides training, financing, advisory support, and networking opportunities.

“These results reflect Abu Dhabi’s sustained efforts to enhance its economic competitiveness through a clear vision to empower women and increase their participation in vital sectors,” said Asma Al Fahim, Chairperson of the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council.

She noted that the Chamber and its councils play a key role in creating a more inclusive economy by recognizing Emirati women as essential partners in development.

She added that ADCCI remains committed to working with the private sector and specialized councils to build a supportive business environment for female entrepreneurs. “We are committed to offering programs and services that align with their aspirations, reflecting the wise leadership’s vision of placing women’s economic empowerment at the heart of its priorities,” she said.
