Patria warmly welcomed Canada’s Secretary of State, Hon. Stephen Fuhr, and his delegation for a visit. 🇫🇮🤝🇨🇦 Discussion topics at the Patria Hämeenlinna factory included Patria’s capabilities in the Arctic, such as armored tracked and wheeled vehicles, indirect fires systems, intelligence and surveillance solutions. With the Canadian government’s announced plans to increase defence spending, there are clear opportunities to further strengthen partnerships between Canada, its defence industry, and Patria Group. Great news: Patria’s sustainability work has achieved bronze-level rating in EcoVadis! 🏆 The assessment was completed in July 2025 covering corporate sustainability from the perspectives of environmental performance, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. Patria’s overall scores improved to 67/100 reaching level ‘advanced’. Bronze-level award is given to top 35% companies assessed. EcoVadis is a global provider of business sustainability ratings, based on internationally accepted principles of corporate sustainability reporting, such as the UN Global Compact, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines and the ISO 26000 standard. Denmark-tailored CAVS vehicle took the spotlight, as it was presented to the public for the first time. Additionally, Patria TREMOS mortar system and Patria OPTIME powered by ILIAS defence platform were highlighted at the event. The event was a success, with many visitors and valuable discussions at our stand. Last week, Patria had the honour of welcoming Japan’s State Minister Honda for a visit. 🇫🇮🤝🇯🇵 On 14 August, Japan’s State Minister of Defense, Honda Taro, visited Finland and Patria. Japan Ground Self-Defense Force has selected Patria AMV XP 8x8 as its next armoured wheeled vehicle. Patria's partner Japan Steel Works is preparing to begin production of Patria AMV XP 8x8 vehicles in the autumn. Local production and technology transfer are key factors in Patria's vehicle production.    Patria regards this as a great opportunity to further develop cooperation in Japan with new services and solutions, as well as to establish long-term strategic partnerships with Japan and its industries. CAVS programme strengthen European defence cooperation. 🇪🇺🤝 Common Armoured Vehicle System (CAVS) programme began in 2020 as a multinational cooperation initiative, developing new armoured vehicle system, Patria 6x6. Additionally, the programme leverages local industry capabilities of the member nations, reinforcing the security of supply. As of now, the participating countries of the programme are Finland 🇫🇮, Latvia 🇱🇻, Sweden 🇸🇪, Germany 🇩🇪 and Denmark 🇩🇰. By collaborating on the development and acquisition of the Patria 6x6 vehicle, participating countries can achieve economies of scale, reducing the overall cost of procurement and maintenance.
