💡𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗳 𝗮 𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗮 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲? That’s not sci-fi. That’s the reality of lithium battery production. In a recent Tekniikka&Talous interview EVP Jarkko Sairanen, who leads Vaisala's Industrial Measurements business, illustrated the scale of dryness: "The amount of water in a room would be just 0.6 of a single water droplet," he explained, using a 10-person meeting room as an example. "The requirement for accuracy is just incredible." This is why Vaisala holds around 80% of the global market in dryness measurements for battery manufacturing. Our technology can operate accurately and reliably in extreme conditions, where only the best can perform. And the challenge is only getting tougher. With next-generation solid-state batteries, even a fraction of a droplet will be too much.
