Because quality of produce is at the very heart of our culinary standards, we plant, harvest and carefully select ingredients from our kitchen gardens located near Versailles. On the occasion of the Sustainable Gastronomy Day, our teams were invited to visit the vegetable garden we tend in partnership with Les Jardins de Gally. Through that immersive experience, they discovered some of the sustainable gardening practices developed for the Ritz Paris over the past several years by Chef Jerome Legras, who is committed to a responsible and local approach. It was a morning rich in interpersonal exchanges about cultivating the earth and sharing, that deepened our understanding of the vegetable varieties we grow and showcase in our cuisine. To celebrate our exceptional Summer Terrace on the Place Vendôme - through August 10th - the artist, author and composer Vanille unveiled an original, exclusive song during its inaugural soirée: “Paris Lumière” is an enchanting ballad about the poetry that lives in various neighborhoods around the City of Light.  “From the first glimmers of light to night’s last breath, a musical journey through Paris, carried along by feelings.” explained Vanille. At the Ritz Paris, indulgence settles on the Left Bank. The opening of the second boutique Ritz Paris Le Comptoir at 45 Rue de Sèvres in the 7th arrondissement brings the spirit of sweetness and conviviality to another of the French capital’s best-loved neighborhoods, one favorited by writers and artists. It reprises the iconic design and codes of Ritz Paris Le Comptoir, with its large picture windows, arches, and a superb made-to-measure ceiling light. To celebrate this opening occasion, head pastry chef François Perret has dreamed up an original collection of trompe-l’oeil éclairs with, notably, a coffee-flavored one made using the Ritz Paris Le Comptoir house blend. The coffee éclair is available exclusively at our Left Bank location. Our first signature coffee blend is made using an assemblage of three types of beans that are grown in Ethiopia, Columbia, and Honduras, and were selected with care by the teams at Lomi, one of the oldest coffee merchants in Paris.
