About The Role

Software Engineers at Gr4vy collaborate across product, engineering, design, and other stakeholders. We work in short two week sprints & regularly share, reflect on and iterate on our work.

Our platform uses Python and the FastAPI framework along with React and Typescript for most of our frontend. We use unit, integration and acceptance tests to drive design and keep everything working.

Key Responsibilities

• You have influence over complex projects which may require coordination and collaboration with colleagues outside of your immediate team.
• You have strong communication skills, and be comfortable discussing problems and solutions with your team-mates.
• You work with the product manager to ensure that the scope is appropriate to deliver value early and often.
• You take ownership of support tasks to ensure operational stability working on any incidents proactively until they are resolved.
• You work to help define and implement necessary and useful monitoring & alerting.
• You set and improve standards across all different aspects that impact engineering.
• You mentor junior team members to help them grow and learn.
• You are a role model within the team for the company values.
  
  

Requirements

We’re looking for developers with strong experience writing Python, preferably using the FastAPI framework. Experience with Starlette, asyncio, SQLAlchemy, pytest would be beneficial.

You’ll have experience writing high-value tests and have an understanding of software design principles.
