Software Test Engineer (QA Engineer)

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a talented Software Test Engineer (QA Engineer) to join our esteemed engineering team. We are particularly interested in individuals who are passionate about ensuring the quality and reliability of software products for our clients. As a QA Engineer, you will play a vital role in developing and executing test plans, both manual and automated, to validate software functionality and performance.

What You Will Do:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.
• Design, implement, and maintain test scripts using testing frameworks.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify testing requirements and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Conduct automated unit and integration tests, as well as manual tests, to validate software functionality, performance, and scalability.
• Identify and document software defects, and track issues through resolution using issue tracking systems.
• Analyze test results and provide timely feedback to stakeholders, including recommendations for improving software quality and test coverage.
• Participate in Agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.

Qualifications & Core Skills:

• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle principles and Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with basic SQL queries for database validation.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Optional Qualifications:

• Proven experience in software quality assurance, focusing on testing methodologies and tools.
• Experience in writing automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver or other similar testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or similar.
