We are delighted to share that The Langham Pink Run in Hong Kong was a huge success, with more than 300 pink-clad participants joining us for our sunset run along the East Coast Boardwalk. All proceeds from the event were donated to KELY Support Group, a Hong Kong-based non-profit dedicated to empowering young people through programmes focused on mental health and wellbeing, drug and alcohol awareness, and positive youth development. June marked the 160th anniversary of The Langham Hotels and Resorts, and as part of the celebrations, we organised The Langham Pink Runs all over the world, from London and the US to Shanghai and Australia, each one supporting a cause close to their communities. Hong Kong was the 10th stop on the Pink Run global tour, and we were thrilled to see so many people turning out to support this charitable initiative. A big thank you to everyone who took part for thinking pink!

Langham Hospitality Group (LHG) hotels around the world embraced Global Wellness Day recently with an entire week of specially arranged health and wellness activities under this year’s theme, #ReconnectMagenta. Cordis, Auckland, meanwhile, celebrated Global Wellness Day with activities such as Ear Auricular Therapy at Chuan Spa, which not only calms the mind, but also promotes better sleep and improves overall wellness vibes. The Langham Huntington, Pasadena in Los Angeles, helped guests to relax and de-stress with a soothing Floating Sound Bath in the hotel’s spectacular pool. One of the three pillars of Langham Hospitality Group’s people brand message ‘MAKE Your Story Our Legacy’, ‘MAKE It Personal’ is all about bringing your personality to each interaction, so that every connection is sincere and from the heart. A wonderful example of this philosophy in action is Gede Masningati, a Spa Therapist at Cordis, Auckland, who has been an integral part of the hotel’s success over the past seven years. Whether interacting with guests or colleagues, Gede takes the time to listen and understand each individual, then tailors her approach in ways that makes the other person feel seen and valued. This helps her to create warm and heartfelt experiences that leave a lasting impression on guests. “Every guest is unique, and I believe it’s important to understand what they need not just in the moment, but also in the long term. It’s not just about the treatments; it’s about helping them feel truly cared for and leaving with a sense of peace and renewal,” says Gede. “Often, it’s the small, quiet moments of connection that can have the biggest impact on their experience and well-being.” This genuine expression of her caring nature not only makes Gede a firm favourite with guests, many of whom return regularly and ask for her by name, but also positively impacts the rest of the team, whether she is mentoring new therapists or just being a calming presence that makes everyone feel respected and welcome. #MAKEYourStoryOurLegacy #MAKEitPersonal

Langham Hospitality Group (LHG)’s people brand message—‘MAKE Your Story Our Legacy’—is built upon three distinct pillars, which are derived from and inspired by the vision and values that serve as guiding principles for the Group. Each pillar captures a different aspect of LHG’s philosophy, and collectively they reflect the passion, creativity, determination and teamwork of the people who are the beating heart of LHG, and who make it such a special and inspiring place to work. The first pillar—‘MAKE It Personal’—is all about bringing your individual approach and personality to each interaction, so that every connection is genuine and heartfelt. We actively encourage all of our team members to bring their authentic selves to work, making their unique perspectives and lived experiences a defining feature of the hospitality experience. Our culture is built on emotional intelligence and mutual respect, fostering a family-like environment that cherishes each colleague’s well-being and values their authentic voice. In the coming months, we will share more about our incredible team members and their unique stories, which not only contribute to LHG’s legacy, but also to our larger vision of #BuildingGreatMemories. #MAKEYourStoryOurLegacy #MAKEitPersonal Sandra Ngan Cecilia L.
