In her Chief of Staff capacity, she serves as a strategic advisor to the CEO and the leadership team, driving cross-functional alignment and enabling effective execution of Mandarin Oriental's strategic priorities. In parallel, she leads the Group’s global sustainability agenda, to elevate the guest experience, strengthen community partnerships, and create lasting value for the business. Kandé brings over 20 years of international experience across the financial, luxury beauty, and luxury hospitality sectors, with a strong foundation in investment management, strategic planning, and sustainable transformation. Most recently, she served as Global Head of Sustainability at Kerzner International in Dubai, and previously as Sustainability Integration Director at Parfums Christian Dior in Paris, where she designed and implemented LVMH’s first in-house sustainability academy. A dual French and British national, Kandé holds a Master’s degree in International Finance from ESG Paris and is an alumna of the Harvard Sustainability Leadership Program. Since joining as Director of Rooms in 2024, Paulina has driven improvements in quality, efficiency, and profitability, while championing warm, guest- and colleague-centric service. In her new role, she will oversee hotel operations and continue elevating the guest experience at our iconic New York property. Laurent Schauder has been appointed Hotel Manager at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London.
