On April 30, 2025, a meeting was held at Vanijya Bhawan, New Delhi, between Shri Amardeep Singh Bhatia, Secretary, DPIIT, and Mr. Daren Tang, Director General of WIPO. A Letter of Intent was signed to collaborate on IP analytics, with both parties expressing interest to further strengthen their cooperation.

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade functions under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It is responsible for formulation and implementation of promotional and developmental measures for growth of the industrial sector, keeping in view the national priorities and socio-economic objectives.
