As part of our ongoing efforts to deepen trade between Indian and Taiwanese industries, we had the privilege of leading a distinguished delegation of 16 Taiwanese companies for insightful visits to MIDC (Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation) and Jio Platforms Limited (JPL). Delegation began with an insightful visit to MIDC, gaining a better understanding of Maharashtra’s industrial ecosystem, infrastructure and progressive policies. This was followed by an engaging session at JIO Platforms, where delegates explored India’s rapidly evolving digital ecosystem and potential areas for Synergy. A big thank you to organisations for their warm welcome and valuable exchanges. This visit marks another step forward in fostering enduring economic ties and mutual prosperity between Taiwan and India. La semana pasada acudimos al Maharashtra Industry Dialogue 2025 que organizó MIDC bajo el lema “Simplifying Growth for Prosperous Maharashtra– Policy, Productivity and Prosperity”. What can a state-led industrial summit teach you - if you’re not a policymaker or a CEO? Turns out, quite a lot. At the Maharashtra Industry Dialogue 2025 hosted by MIDC at Jio World Centre, I walked into more than just a policy platform. With 14+ vertical and regional tracks - this was a map. A map of not just how Maharashtra, but also how India as a country is architecting its next decade of industrial growth. Some of the key observations and insights, structured by session and drawn from the people shaping it: 🔹 Inaugural Plenary – Simplifying Growth for Prosperous Maharashtra Insight: More than a ceremonial opening, it was a live strategy deck—clear, purposeful, and forward-moving. 🔹 Semiconductors: Building Blocks of the Digital Era Insight: Semiconductors are now foundational, demanding infrastructure that keeps pace with ambition. 🔹 Pharmaceuticals: Leading the Way in Global Health Solutions Insight: Pharma is shifting from volume to value - driven by research, biosimilars, and IP-led growth 🔹 Auto 4.0: Maharashtra’s Role in Mobility Leadership Insight: EVs are part of a larger ecosystem - transformation lies in coordinated policy, infra, and trust. 🔹 Aerospace & Defense: Wings of Innovation, Shields of Strength Insight: Defense is now about domestic capability - industrial sovereignty built on tech and trust. 🔹 Food Processing: From Farm to Food, We Are Adding Value Insight: The real agri disruption is post-harvest - value lies in storage, logistics, and processing. 🔹 Textiles: A Legacy of Progress Insight: Textiles is being redefined by sustainability and compliance - volume now follows values. 🔹 MSME – Empowering and Inclusive Growth Insight: MSMEs are agile growth engines - scaling through skilling, digitization, and simplicity. 🔹 Regional Industrial Development – Vidarbha, Marathwada, Konkan, Western & North Maharashtra Insight: Strategy is now local - each region drives growth through tailored, infrastructure-backed priorities. This wasn’t a “what’s next” event. It was a reminder that next is already here - and being shaped with intent. To anyone building in India, or for India: Don’t chase scale in silos. Chase orchestration across systems - policy, infra, talent, ESG, innovation. As a consultant, my biggest takeaway? That building in India is no longer about solving isolated problems. It’s about orchestrating systems - land, logistics, digital infra, policy, ESG, talent - and doing it across regions and sectors simultaneously. And our job isn’t to spectate.
