New Work⚡On India’s 79th Independence Day, Renault India unveiled a 30x30 ft hand-painted art installation en route to Terminal 3 of Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport. Brought to life by the acclaimed artist collective Doodle Mapuls, the piece reimagines the splendour of India’s ancient heritage through the vibrant lens of contemporary street culture, music, and youth expression. Think iconic Delhi architecture entwined with urban fashion, musical instruments, and more — a pop-futuristic canvas where tradition meets tomorrow. The iconic installation is a bold statement and embodiment of the French carmaker’s India-centric Renault.Rethink transformation strategy; redefining how brands can inspire. OMD India's CEO, Anisha Iyer, shared that the positioning of the launch was intended to engage travellers and reflect the brand’s creative vision. “This unveiling was designed to create a deep, genuine connection with the people of India by capturing the nation’s essence as it stands today: entrenched in culture, yet confidently moving forward. By launching it on Independence Day, we've made Renault a part of a day that honours India’s past, celebrates its present, and inspires its future, aligning the brand with a sense of collective pride and progress,” she said. India’s Gen X is the quiet force powering luxury consumption in the market today. In conversation with Campaign India, OMG India's Chief Content Officer, Shailja Saraswati Varghese, recently shared her thoughts on the generation for whom it's all about substance over spectacle. Furthermore, she said, "Gen X connects with stories that reflect real-life milestones. Luxury, for them, is a marker of achievement, not impulse. Provenance, craftsmanship, and authenticity matter far more than social trends. And when it comes to measuring success, brands must look beyond reach to metrics like engagement depth, repeat purchases, and real-world interactions. To connect with them meaningfully, brands need to rethink their media mix. Newsletters offer curated discovery. LinkedIn is ideal for precision targeting, especially in luxury categories such as Finance, Auto, and High-end travel. Long-form videos help tell emotionally rich brand stories, while good old print and testimonials continue to be incredibly powerful mediums for earning their trust. The truth is, Gen X is already paying attention. They’re just waiting for brands to do the same. They may not be loud, but they’re loyal, discerning, and willing to invest in what they value."
