As CME, I was in charge of manufacturing close to 2500 rail carriages every year. We are into manufacturing of stainless steel coaches, electric train sets , diesel Train sets , SPARTS , observation cars , air-conditioned and non air-conditioned rail coaches.
Planned execution of prestigious Train -18 and Train-20 projects respectively stainless steel indigenous 3 phase IGBT based Train sets ,and globally best in class Aluminum Train sets.

In 17-18 ICF is poised to turnout 2500 Rail coaches , majority of which are made from stainless steel . From 18-19 onwards only stainless steel or Aluminium Rail coaches will be made as production of Corten steel coaches has been stopped.
ICF is world’s largest single location based Rail coach factory which has so far turned out 55000+ Rail coaches and 500+ variants. Almost entire Rail suburban system of INDIAN metropolitan cities depends on self propelled Rail coaches manufactured at ICF.

In 16-17 executing an order for manufacturing 72 electric train sets for the Mumbai train network.

Bagged Export order for supplying Diesel Train sets for Srilanka Railways

ICF celebrated its Diamond jubilee (1955-2015) and flagged off its 50000th coach on 6th July 2015. In May 2018 , Limca Book of records has certified that ICF is the world's largest single location Rail coach manufacturing factory. Show less

Responsible for the manufacturing of ' High Speed Rail Coaches' - German LHB design fit that are capable of running at 200 Km/hour, with an annual production capacity of 300 coaches (2015 to 2016). This was a green field project. In a span of 4 months we manufactured and delivered 65 coaches.

The second phase has commenced and the plan is to ramp up production to 900 coaches per year.

As DRM Bilaspur , I was responsible for managing the logistics for about 120 Million Tonnes of Coal (50% of the Power Station Coal Requirement) from Open-Cast Mines to the major thermal power stations in the country.

The earnings from this division alone amounted to USD 2 Bio each year during my tenure.

Incharge of rolling stock operations and maintenance.

Responsible for the safety of railway operations in the most sensitive railway zone of India.

Managed to reduce the number of accidents per year from 60 to 6.

In charge of managing 500 locomotives and everything related to their :

- Operations
- Maintenance
- Crew ( Restrooms etc)
- Fuel : Procurement and managing funds associated with it. Installing fueling points.

Additionally, I also
- Handled all accident relief trains
- Built locomotive and crew links for new trains

Mumbai being the busiest hub of passenger services and freight services is one of the most important and challenging places for the posting of a mechanical engineer.

One of the biggest challenges was to construct a special arrangement to fade out any chance of break failure of the trains as they entered the Mumbai Railway area via 2 steeps actions - 25km each with a gradient of 1/37.

I thoroughly enjoyed this challenge especially in the hilly terrain.

This was very much an operations focused role where I was in charge of managing the bulk of freight and passenger traffic between North- South and East - West India. Ensuring the fluidity of operations was the highest priority.

In charge of this shed that housed 80 Diesel Locomotives and an accident relief train. I was also a disaster management expert for the entire Mumbai division.

Periodic overhaul of Diesel and Electric locomotives. Also, looked after the modernization of the workshop and the job of a production engineer.

Rotation across pivotal work centers of the Indian Railways across the country.

Imparted departmental and management training at the National Academy.
