Bug Alert! Found a gap in Salesforce’s OOTB Apex Class method —  they handled null but forgot to handle empty strings! 😜 We had used one of the methods of this FeatureManagement Class, checkPermission(), in our project — and ran into a major bug because Salesforce didn’t handle empty strings in this method. While using FeatureManagement.checkPermission() in Apex, we came to know: ✅ FeatureManagement.checkPermission(null) — works perfectly (returns false) ❌ FeatureManagement.checkPermission(' ') — gacks with an error: System.UnexpectedException: Salesforce System Error: 397037812-556469 (1754043752) So yeah… null is handled, but an empty string? System Down. Takeaway as a dev: Always sanitize your inputs.
