Recruitment in India vastly differs from the US, UK, or Europe. Volume vs Niche: India is a high-volume hiring market — especially in IT & shared services. Western markets focus more on niche roles and deep specialization. Speed vs Structure: Indian hiring is fast-paced. Speed often trumps process. In developed markets, hiring tends to be slower, with more compliance and structured assessments. Talent Pool & Pressure: India has a large, young, and competitive workforce. Multiple job offers and fast career moves are common. In contrast, developed countries have aging populations and longer tenures — making job mobility slower but more predictable. Employer Brand = Hiring Power: In India, brand perception can drive applicant volume and quality.
