Patrizia Caraveo
Astrophysicist at INAF and current President of the Italian Astronomical Society (SAIt), Patrizia Caraveo is internationally recognized for her groundbreaking research on neutron stars and gamma-ray pulsars. A pioneer in high-energy astrophysics, she led the Istituto di Astrofisica Spaziale e Fisica Cosmica in Milan as Director (2011–2017) and has played a key role in major international collaborations. Her career is marked by numerous honors, including the Enrico Fermi Prize, the Premio Nazionale Presidente della Repubblica, and three Bruno Rossi Prizes. In 2017, she was named Commendatore dell’Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana.
Jinsong Leng
Professor at Harbin Institute of Technology and a distinguished member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Academia Europaea, and the European Academy of Sciences and Arts. He leads cutting-edge research as Dean of the School of Future Technology and Director of key centers at HIT. Prof. Leng holds several vice-presidential roles in international scientific societies and serves as Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Smart and Nano Materials. Recognized globally, he is a Fellow of numerous prestigious organizations including AAAS, ASME, SPIE, IOP, RAeS, and AIAA.
Luciano Demasi
Professor of Aerospace Engineering at San Diego State University, Luciano Demasi holds a PhD from Politecnico di Torino and is an Associate Fellow of AIAA. His research spans aerodynamics, structures, and aeroelasticity, with over 100 publications and a recent book, Introduction to Unsteady Aerodynamics and Dynamic Aeroelasticity (Springer, 2024). Ranked among the top 2% of authors globally in aerospace, he has received the AIAA Outstanding Contribution to Aerospace Research Award and the Northrop Grumman Excellence in Teaching Award.
𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘂𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿
Divisional Board Member for Aeronautics at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), Markus Fischer brings over 30 years of experience in aerospace research, development, and leadership. He studied aerospace engineering at the Technical University of Braunschweig and earned a PhD in fluid mechanics from the University of Hanover. After an early research career at DLR, he held senior roles at Airbus, Rheinmetall Defence, and STN Atlas Elektronik. He returned to DLR in 2017 as Director of the Aeronautics Programme and, since 2021, has served on the DLR Executive Board, overseeing its aeronautics division.
