Apple Harvest in South Tyrol has begun This week marks the official start of the appleharvest in South Tyrol, beginning with the Gala variety. A special feature this year: the cool nights of recent weeks have helped the apples develop an especially vibrant and beautiful color - a true gift from nature. However, the first days of harvesting are accompanied by intense heat, posing a real challenge for both farmers and harvest workers. Despite the tough conditions, the teams are working with great dedication to bring in the first fruits of the season. The harvest will continue over the coming weeks, ending with late varieties like Pink Lady, expected to be picked from late October through mid-November.
