Caprari stands out for having a plant in Rubiera entirely dedicated to the production of submersible motors. What is the strategic value of having a plant exclusively focused on this activity?

Owning a dedicated production plant allows us to respond quickly and flexibly to the specific needs of our customers. It plays a key strategic role, serving as a hub where we test new technologies and develop tailor-made solutions, drawing on the know-how built up through years of direct experience in the field.

How important are submersible motors within the Caprari range, and what are the main solutions currently available to customers?

Caprari offers a complete range of submersible motors designed to meet all types of application requirements.

The range begins with 4” motors—the smallest in size, yet among the most significant in terms of sales volume. These motors, available in single-phase or three-phase versions, offer outputs from 0.5 to 10 HP and represent a versatile, reliable solution for a wide variety of applications.

Moving up in size, we have the MAC series, consisting of rewindable asynchronous motors with 2 or 4 poles, available from 6” to 14” and with power ratings up to 440 kW. This family is highly customisable, both in materials and voltage configurations , to suit very different technical specifications.

Alongside the MAC series is the MPC range, which includes asynchronous motors from 6” to 10” with power outputs up to 150 kW. This is a competitive offering designed for those seeking a good balance between performance and cost, without compromising the reliability that defines the Caprari brand.

Finally, the MMP series represents the company’s latest technological evolution. These are synchronous motors with permanent magnets, available in 6”, 8” and 10” sizes. This technology offers very high efficiency, compact dimensions and excellent performance even at low speeds, making them ideal for applications where energy efficiency is a priority.

Among the wide range of submersible motors, the permanent magnet motors stand out for their efficiency and innovation. What are the other benefits of this series for the end customer?

The main advantage of this motor range is undoubtedly its efficiency, which can reach very high levels—up to 94%; this translates into significant energy savings, allowing the initial investment to be recovered in a short time.

Another major benefit is that, thanks to their design, a single motor size can cover multiple power ratings: for example, within the 6” motors, with just three models, we can cover the entire power range (6–60 HP), which also leads to cost savings by reducing the amount of stock required.

Product quality is essential to ensure long-term reliability and durability. What technologies and materials are used to guarantee this result?

Caprari si distingue per avere uno stabilimento a Rubiera completamente dedicato alla produzione di motori sommersi. Qual è il valore strategico di disporre di un plant esclusivamente focalizzato su questa attività?

Disporre di uno stabilimento di proprietà ci consente di rispondere con rapidità e flessibilità alle esigenze specifiche dei nostri clienti. Rappresenta un asset strategico, dove testiamo nuove tecnologie e sviluppiamo soluzioni su misura, valorizzando il know-how maturato in anni di esperienza diretta sul campo.

Che importanza hanno i motori sommersi all'interno della gamma Caprari e quali sono oggi le principali soluzioni disponibili per i clienti?

Caprari offre una gamma completa di motori sommersi pensata per rispondere a ogni tipo di esigenza applicativa.

Si parte dai motori da 4”, la taglia più piccola in termini di dimensioni ma tra le più importanti per volumi di vendita. Questi motori, disponibili in versione monofase o trifase, coprono potenze da 0,5 a 10 HP e rappresentano una soluzione versatile e affidabile per molteplici contesti.

Salendo di dimensioni troviamo la serie MAC, composta da motori asincroni riavvolgibili a 2 o 4 poli, disponibili da 6” a 14” e con potenze fino a 440 kW. Questa famiglia è altamente personalizzabile, sia nei materiali che nelle tensioni, per adattarsi a specifiche tecniche anche molto diverse tra loro.

Tra l’ampia gamma di motori sommersi, i motori a magneti permanenti si distinguono per efficienza e innovazione. Quali sono gli altri vantaggi di questa serie per il cliente finale?

Il principale vantaggio di questa gamma di motori è indubbiamente il rendimento che riesce a raggiungere valori altissimi, fino al 94%; questo comporta un risparmio energetico importante che permette di rientrare dell’investimento in breve tempo.

Un altro grande vantaggio è che, grazie alla loro costruzione, una sola taglia di motore riesce a coprire diverse taglie di potenza: ecco che nei motori a 6” con soli 3 modelli potremo andare a coprire tutte le potenze in gamma (6-60HP); anche questo si traduce in risparmio economico perché permette di tenere meno materiale a stock.
