Will ChatGPT change software development?
If you haven’t already heard about ChatGPT, you most likely are about to. It’s been blowing up all over the World Wide Web the past week, and for good reason. In short, ChatGPT is mind-blowing!
The past week I started seeing a lot of posts and comments about ChatGPT! For starters, I thought people were exaggerating, I mean come on, how amazing can it be? I decided to create an Open AI account and give it a go for myself to see what all the fuzz what about!
I have to admit, It quickly blew my mind! ChatGPT really is something incredible and provides a glimpse of how software engineering could be in the future! I’ll show you examples of what I mean later in this article.
What is Chat GPT
GPT-3 is a state-of-the-art language model developed by OpenAI. It is capable of generating human-like text and can be used for a variety of natural language processing tasks, including generating responses in a chat-like setting. GPT-3 stands for “Generative Pretrained Transformer 3,” referring to the type of machine learning model it is and the fact that it is the third iteration of the GPT series. It is a very large model, with 175 billion parameters, which gives it the ability to generate high-quality text.
