On June 8, 2022 Puma announced results from another 24 holes for 2,814 m from its ongoing 10,000 m 2022 drilling campaign at its 100%-owned Williams Brook Gold Project in Northern New Brunswick. Saliently, several new high-grade veins were intersected at shallow depth (sub-surface), with intercepts up to 10.70 Au over 2 m and 51.73 g/t Au over 1.85 m in hole WB22-66 (at respectively 32 and 67m depth). Other results are 35.09 g/t Au over 1.45 m in hole WB22-57 (included within 12.3m @ 4.3 g/t Au (at 3m depth)), 2.13 g/t Au over 7.3 m in hole WB22-52 (at 8m depth), 11.71 g/t Au over 2.5 m in hole WB22-39 (included within 24.7m @ 1.23 g/t Au (at 9m depth)) and 21 g/t Au over 0,6 m in hole WB22-60 (included within 6.2m @ 2.38 g/t Au (at 39m depth)). These intercepts of new gold mineralization are located 500 m apart along the O'Neil Gold Trend ("OGT") indicating additional strike length. It is to be noted that the OGT that remains open in the NE-SW direction. We estimate an overall grade x thickness metric of 13.22 g1t Au x m for 19 holes.

Ongoing 2022 drilling campaign designed to confirm at shallow depth the alteration and mineralization: Overall, a total of 43 holes for 5,203 m in the current 10,000 m drilling program have been reported to date and indicate that the OGT is now recognized and partly tested over 750 m of strike length.  The geometry of the quartz-sulphide system remains to be better ascertained, but the high-grade gold intercept in hole WB22-66 is of particular interest because it was drilled in an area (gap) between the Lynx and the Pepitos Gold zones where the thickness of the overburden prevented stripping and trenching. Several specks of visible gold ("VG'') were identified in hole WB-22-66, suggesting that the potential of the OGT, remains considerable. An additional 31 holes are being logged with 2,127 core samples sent for analysis. Visible gold was identified in 4 holes awaiting assaying and drilling is ongoing, with a total of 8,800 metres completed to date. Puma anticipates to complete the 10,000 m program as planned by the end of June and shall embark in an aggressive property wide exploration program.

Marcel Robillard, President and CEO of Puma Exploration stated: "The results from our 10,000 metres 2022 drilling program provide us with phenomenal new information to build our understanding of this exciting and prolific new Maritimes' Gold District on the western edge of the Bathurst Mining Camp. We've already launched our fully financed summer field exploration program to identify drilling targets for the fall program".

Potential emerging new Maritime gold district in northern New Brunswick: The Williams Brook Gold Project has now seen >95 holes (for 11,100m) completed since the commencement of initial field work in 2019 by Puma. We note that Stratabound Minerals Corp. (SB-V) holds several options to acquire 100% of the mineral rights to its McIntyre Gold Project located adjacent to Puma on Highway 180 about 80km west of Bathurst. Stratabound holds 11,960 ha and is completing the consolidation of an entire 17 km of prospective ground between Puma’s Williams Brook to the west and Portage Brook/Jonpol gold properties to the east. Dubbed the “Triple Fault Gold Belt”, the entire 37 km “Belt” features numerous new high-grade gold showings that could largely have geological comparisons to New Found Gold’s Queensway Project in eastern Newfoundland. With 750 m current strike, the OGT remains open and a large and pervasive supergene gold enrichment from a low sulphidation epithermal quartz sulphide system is emerging. Similar multi-kilometric sedimentary-volcanic gold quartz-sulphide systems are expected as likely a string of pearls and may lead to other prospective gold discoveries.

 https://www.explorationpuma.com/en/puma-exploration-completes-its-winter-drilling-program-and-outlines-its-summer-field-exploration-program-at-williams-brook/

On June 28, 2022 Puma disclosed that it has completed its winter-spring drilling program at the O'Neil Gold Trend ("OGT") and commenced its fully-funded 2022 summer field exploration program at its 100%-owned Williams Brook Gold Project in New Brunswick, Atlantic Canada. Launched at the end of January 2022. Puma completed successfully a 10,348m drilling program, totaling 97 short holes. Results for the first ~43 holes totaling 5,203m have been reported with an overall grade x thickness metric of 12.62g/t Au x m. We estimate a 16.28 g/t Au x m for the 56 holes disclosed (phase 1 and phase 2). We understand the remaining 54 holes have been logged and that visible gold has been identified in 5 holes. Assay results should be announced when received.

The fully-funded $2M summer program is planned to identify new areas of high-grade gold mineralization at surface on Puma's extensive 40,000 ha land package and prepare for a 2022-2023 drilling program. The summer 2022 exploration program shall be guided by Mira Geoscience's Mineral Potential Index ("MPI") map generated by compiling and analyzing all the data gathered by Puma since 2019. This data set includes results from more than 5,000m of trenching, 5,000 grab samples, 7,500m of diamond drilling, property-wide heliborne VTEM and radiometric surveys, structural data analysis from Terrane Geoscience and previous geochemical soil and till surveys. The MPI map indicated that the OGT may extend more than 15km and that other similar, highly prospective areas may be present on Puma's large land package. Exploration work shall concentrate on the SW and NE extensions of the currently defined OGT, the WB1 and WB2 gold occurrences and other areas of the Williams Brook property that have not been previously explored. Puma has commenced stripping on the WB2 Gold Trend with objective to extend and confirm the mineralization found by a previous operator Blue Note Mining in 2008. Previous work included grab samples grading up to 5.4 g/t Au and drilling intersections of 23 m of 1.05 g/t Au (within a lower grade envelope of 0.52 g/t Au over 55m (WB08-03)), 0.67g/t Au over 41m (WB08-04) and 0.21g/t Au over 64m (WB08-05).

Potential emerging new Maritime gold district in northern New Brunswick: Puma's surface and near-surface drilling results indicate that a potential large epithermal/orogenic precious metals system is possible at Williams Brook. Gold mineralization at the O'Neil Gold Trend is characterized by significant high-grade gold intercepts within a lower-grade envelope. This gold mineralization is interpreted to be the surface expression of a large and pervasive supergene gold enrichment in a low to mid sulphidation epithermal quartz sulphide system. The O'Neil Gold Trend, with a current strike length of >750m, could host one of these multi-kilometric systems that are highly prospective for gold discoveries.

Puma Exploration drilling hits high-grade gold intercepts at Lynx on the Williams Brook Project, New Brunswick.

https://www.explorationpuma.com/en/puma-exploration-hits-multiple-high-grade-gold-intercepts-at-williams-brook/

On September 29, 2022 Puma reported results from its 2022 drilling program at its 100%-owned Williams Brook Gold Project in Northern New Brunswick. A total of 113 shallow holes (10,000m) were drilled along the Lynx Gold Zone, which is part of the 7 km long O'Neil Gold Trend ("OGT"). This phase 2 drilling (holes WB22-19 to WB22-113) within the NE-SW oriented Lynx Gold Zone has exposed a gold-bearing hydrothermal/orogenic system characterized by a supergene alteration (limonite, silica, sulphides) and finely disseminated free gold and identified high-grade gold veins. We understand that every hole intersected gold-bearing quartz veins with some returning additional high-grade intersections such as 14.9 g/t Au over 3.6 m (within 25.1m @ 2.17 g/t Au) in hole WB22-96, and 23.24 g/t Au over 1.65m (within 3.75m @ 10.96 g/t Au) in hole WB22-91. We estimate an overall grade x thickness metric of 11.04 g/t Au x m (245 data sets with 26 holes missing assay data).

Emerging hydrothermal/orogenic gold system: The Lynx Gold Zone first drilled in late 2021 and exposed on the surface by important stripping over a strike length of 750m is interpreted to be a mineralized felsic dome within a large epithermal/orogenic gold system related to the Appalachian Orogeny. The drilling program has confirmed that the gold grades from surface sampling are often coincident with drilling grades and that the multiple quartz veins/veinlets and stockworks are associated with intensive and pervasive limonite alteration. The Lynx Gold Zone, discovered in 2020 by high-grade surface samples and confirmed at depth in 2021 by hole WB21-02 (5.55 g/t Au over 50.15m from surface, including two high-grade gold veins with 9.88 g/t Au over 8.6m and 46.94 g/t Au over 3.85m) has only been drilled to a maximum depth of 75m vertical. Results have defined an envelop of high-grade gold veins and low grade disseminated gold that remains open at both ends and at depth.

More work warranted: The close-spaced drilling was undertaken to identify vein distribution and density and a few holes (1,300m) were completed to intersect the total stratigraphic package of hanging wall sediments, rhyolite and the footwall volcano-sediments. We understand that the entire dataset collected from the 10,000m program is currently being interpreted and modelized to define future drilling targets. The 3D modelling of the high-potential supergene gold enrichment (limonite alteration defines an envelop with strike length of ~750m, a thickness of ~75m wide to a depth of 100m. Puma's 40,000 ha land package at William Brook has seen more surface work this past summer, in particularly on the SW and NE extensions of the currently defined OGT, the Jaguar Zone (WB-2) and Cougar (WB-1) zones and other areas.

Marcel Robillard, President and CEO of Puma, stated: "Our 2022 10,000 m drilling program at the Lynx Gold Zone was a great success and fulfilled all of our objectives. It confirmed the presence of a large and fertile hydrothermal/orogenic system at shallow depth and its continuity along strike. The program also allowed us to refine our geological model. Some of the drilling was specifically undertaken to better understand the stratigraphy and gain some insights on the characteristics of gold mineralization at the O'Neil Gold Trend. Over the coming weeks, the interpretation of these drilling results, combined with the ongoing surface exploration work on the property, will orient our next exploration program. The high-grade gold intersections in holes WB22-94 and WB22-96 are of particular interest as they confirm the extension of an enriched sector of the Lynx Gold Zone. This central sector has now been recognized over an area covering 10,000 square metres. Drilling confirmed that this fertile area contains multiple high-grade gold veins open at depth along a "Gold Enrichment" controlled by the intersection of a NW striking fault cutting the favourable sediment-rhyolite contact. Two (2) more gold enrichment sectors with a similar attitude have also been identified at the Lynx Gold Zone".

Update : October 13, 2022

Puma Exploration discloses its exploration progress at Its Williams Brook Gold Project, New Brunswick.

On October 12, 2022 Puma provided a summary of its Summer 2022 Exploration activities and outline its Fall 2022 Program at its 100%-owned Williams Brook Gold Project in NW New Brunswick, Atlantic Canada. Puma's systematic exploration method - prospecting, followed by major stripping, trenching, sampling, and drilling led to the discovery of the Lynx Gold Zone in 2020. The objective of the Summer 2022 exploration program was to apply this successful approach to define additional drilling targets close to the Lynx Gold Zone and in other parts of the ~40,000ha property.

Potential large orogenic/epithermal gold system is present at Williams Brook: In June, Puma's technical team continued its exploration work at the Lynx Gold Zone ("LGZ") and initiated work on new prospective areas located elsewhere on the Williams Brook property. Highlights of Summer 2022 exploration activities are the completion of a 10,000 m drill program at the Lynx Gold Zone that included 8 HQ-size holes (100 m) drilled for a preliminary metallurgical study. Over 45 trenches for a total of 7 linear km were completed along priority targets along the 10 km extension of the O'Neil Gold trend and in part within potential major gold zones, renamed the Cougar and Jaguar Zone, where important stripping were completed. The Cougar and Jaguar Zones discovered previous in 2008 have been recognized by both Mira and Windfall Geotek's AI (Artificial Intelligence) analyses. The stripping exposed several quartz veins that were sampled and mapped in preparation for a follow-up drilling program.

The Lynx Gold Zone was confirmed as Puma's main area of focus and is interpreted to be a mineralized felsic dome within a large gold system related to a major regional structure formed during the Appalachian Orogeny (Rocky Brook Millstream Fault).. The high-grade gold mineralization is characterized by highly silicified iron oxide carbonates and intense sericite alteration and by finely disseminated gold in quartz (veins, veinlets, stockworks, breccias) at the contact between rhyolite and sediments. This contact allowed for the circulation of gold-bearing fluids. Puma's 2022 drilling phase 2 program at Lynx identified 3 gold enrichment zones along the 750 m strike. Additional stripping and pressure washing this summer apparently uncovered new quartz veins that had never been sampled. The summer structural analysis, mapping and sampling results shall enable Puma to optimize its drilling targeting and maximize results.

Regional perspective: Very little historical exploration has been carried out to the property's NE and SE areas. In 2021, a grab sample collected by another operator returned 8.67 g/t Au and Puma has now collected 3,075 soil samples on the newly acquired ground which may host rhyolite units. Geological mapping, prospecting and rock sampling were completed over large unexplored areas of the Williams Brook property, with >1,500 rock samples sent to the lab.  A magnetic drone survey was recently flown covering ~42 sq. km. Finally, Puma pursued AI targeting with CARDS Windfall Geotek over the entire property.

Upcoming catalysts: Puma's surface exploration Fall 2022 work at Williams Brook is ongoing and is expected to continue until snowfall in mid-December. The fall program's objectives are: i) extend the Lynx Gold Zone by stripping, cleaning, mapping and sampling; ii) individually sample the high-grade gold veins at the Lynx Gold Zone for metallurgical testing; iii) conduct a 3D structural analysis of the gold mineralization at the Lynx Gold Zone for drilling targeting; iv) complete additional prospecting, detailed mapping and sampling of the new Ramsay sector, located SE of the O'Neil Gold Trend ("OGT"); v) complete additional trenching and stripping at the Jaguar Gold Zone and define drilling targets at both the Cougar and Jaguar Gold Zones.

Marcel Robillard, President and CEO of Puma Exploration, stated: "From the get-go, Puma's objective has been to define and characterize the Lynx Gold Zone and then apply our exploration model to the entire property. We've confirmed this summer that the Williams Brook Gold Project has the potential for multiple gold-bearing zones throughout the large 40,000-ha land package. A large gold system is possible in New Brunswick. We have the team and know-how to systematically build a resource there, and our immediate focus will be building the gold inventory at Lynx".

Update : October 17, 2022

Puma Exploration secures additional prospective ground at its Williams Brook Gold Project, New Brunswick

On October 17, 2022 Puma reported that it has strategically increased its land holdings by 7,391 ha at its 100%-owned Williams Brook Gold Project in Northern New Brunswick, Atlantic Canada. Puma has staked 2 contiguous claim blocks (i) the Northern Rocky Brook and (ii) Jacquet River properties covering 340 claims to the NE of Puma's current land holdings and close to the Rocky Brook Millstream Fault. The Rocky Brook Millstream Fault ("RBMF") stretches over 200 km and is a major control for gold deposition as several major gold deposits within the Appalachian Orogeny (e.g.: Oceana Gold in South Carolina, New Found Gold and Marathon Gold in Newfoundland, Dalradian Gold in Northern Ireland) occur close to similar orogenic faults or their subsidiaries. Puma’s Lynx Gold Zone is interpreted to be a an epithermal/orogenic gold system associated with the Appalachian Orogeny.

No alt text provided for this image

Puma's recent gold discoveries indicate that a large gold system may be in the works at Williams Brook along the general RBMF trend. The newly staked Northern Rocky Brook and Jacquet River properties aim to secure conducive extensions and are located proximal to paved roads and accessible logging roads. Historically, very little exploration was conducted on the claims. Though no immediate fieldwork is planned on the new acreage this fall, as Puma’s focus shall remain on the Lynx Gold Zone at the Williams Brook property, the land positioning of >47, 300 ha should serve as prospective areas to explore during the 2023 field season. A detailed compilation of historical data shall be completed this winter to highlight prospective areas and assess their priority ranking for the 2023 field season.

The Lynx Gold Zone is interpreted to be a mineralized felsic dome within a large epithermal/orogenic gold system part of the Appalachian Orogeny. The high-grade gold mineralization is characterized by finely disseminated gold in quartz (veins, veinlets, stockworks, breccias) affected by pervasive supergene alteration. The stratigraphy of the dome is well-defined and characteristic: i) fine laminated turbidite-type sedimentary unit, ii) rhyolite breccia with sedimentary fragments, iii) massive rhyolite unit and iv) sedimentary and volcano-clastic units. The contact between the sediment and the rhyolite allowed for the movement of gold-bearing fluids and is characterized by highly silicified iron oxide carbonates and intense sericite alteration.

Update : October 20, 2022

Puma Exploration makes another gold discovery at Its Williams Brook Gold Project, New Brunswick - Grab samples return 34.7 g/t Au at Jaguar

On October 20, 2022 Puma reported that grab samples, collected at the Jaguar Gold Zone ("JGZ") at its 100%-owned Williams Brook Gold Project in Northern New Brunswick, returned up to 34.7 g/t Au. The JGZ hosts a gold-enrichment zone that spans 80 m by 50 m and remains open in all directions. The gold mineralization at the JGZ is associated with quartz-pyrite veinlets and could be as significant and widespread as that found at the Lynx Gold Zone. Results may suggest the that gold mineralization at Williams Brook could be very extensive and that other gold-mineralized zones are expected within the 40,000-ha project. The Williams Brook Project is comprised of 6 claim blocks covering now more than 46,000 ha in an established and mining-friendly jurisdiction, near paved roads and with excellent infrastructure nearby. The land package is located near the Rocky Brook Millstream Fault ("RBMF"), a major regional structure formed during the Appalachian Orogeny and a likely significant control for gold deposition in the region.

Jaguar arising: The Jaguar Gold Zone, located about 5 km NE of the Lynx Gold Zone ("LGZ"), was explored in 2008 by previous operators (Blue Note Mining - https://www.newswire.ca/news-releases/blue-note-mining-finds-more-gold-at-williams-brook-539198651.html). At that time, soil anomalies and trenching identified gold mineralization at surface. Subsequent drilling returned up to 2.1 g/t Au over 9 m within a lower grade envelope of 0.52 g/t Au over 55m in hole WB-08-03. No additional work was carried out until Puma commenced exploration in 2020. The high-grade gold mineralization at the JGZ is found in altered rhyolite associated with pervasive pyrite mineralization. Other grab samples returned significant values such as 18.3 g/t Au, 16.85, 16.3 g/t Au, 16.25 g/t Au, and 12.9 g/t Au. The average of 22 samples gave 10.51 g/t Au suggesting that gold mineralization that is occurring along a favourable rhyolite/sediment contact near a major fault and its subsidiaries is fertile.

Puma style works to build a potential gold camp: Puma has trenched and stripped the JGZ in the course of summer 2022 to follow up on the 2008 results. Indeed, Puma has successfully applied its discovery model developed at the Lynx Gold Zone to this new property area. The systematic approach has led to another gold discovery at the Jaguar Gold Zone with much higher gold grades than reported historically. Over 207 samples were collected this summer at the JGZ with an average grade of 1.67 g/t Au. 59 samples assayed above   g/t Au (28.5%) and 35 samples between 0.10 g/t Au to 1 g/t Au (16.9%). Over 100 additional samples were collected recently and sent to the lab with results to be announced when received.

Update : November 2, 2022

Puma Exploration makes another gold discovery at its Williams Brook Gold Project, New Brunswick – trenching returns 60.1 g/t Au and 25.2 g/t Au at Cougar Gold Zone

On November 2, 2022, Puma announced that grab samples collected at the Cougar Gold Zone (“CGZ”) at its 100%-owned Williams Brook Gold Project in Northern New Brunswick, had returned up to 60.1 g/t Au in an initial stripping program. The CGZ is located ~4 km NE of the Lynx Gold Zone and 1 km SE of the newly discovered Jaguar Gold Zone (“JGZ”). Recall On October 20, 2022 Puma had reported that grab samples, collected at the JGZ had returned up to 34.7 g/t Au. The CGZ bears many similarities to the Lynx Gold Zone (“LGZ”), where Puma made its initial gold discovery in 2020. The gold is also found in quartz veins near a rhyolite/sediment contact. The CGZ hosts high-grade gold in quartz veins discovered in 3 small areas recently uncovered by stripping. Additional grab samples returned 25.2 g/t Au, 5.76 g/t Au, and 3.17 g/t Au. Similarly, to the Lynx Gold Zone, the gold is found in quartz veins along a rhyolite-sediment contact. The Fall 2022 stripping program at the CGZ has aimed to test soil anomalies and the historical drill intercept of 54.2 g/t Au over 2.8 m by previous operators in 2008.

No alt text provided for this image

A second Lynx Gold Zone?  The CGZ likely represents another potential major felsic dome at Williams Brook. Gold mineralization occurs in high-grade gold veins within a larger altered/lower-grade envelope, with several grab* samples returning anomalous gold values sometimes exceeding 0.20 g/t Au. So far, the rhyolite has been traced on surface over 2km x 350m. The work completed at the CGZ is part of Puma’s ongoing strategy to build a gold camp at the 46,000 ha Williams Brook Gold Project by testing highly-prospective areas on the large land package while prioritizing the development of the Lynx Gold Zone. Trenching at the CGZ is ongoing and more news should be forthcoming on both the CGZ and JGZ.

Marcel Robillard, President and CEO, stated: “Today’s results are very exciting. They confirm that another significant high-grade gold zone, similar to the Lynx Gold Zone, 4 km away, is present at Williams Brook. We conducted very little work here over the past 3 years, but the results from this initial small stripping program remind me of our first stripping at Lynx and our subsequent discovery success there. We’ve suspected that gold mineralization at Williams Brook is extensive and that many gold-mineralized zones are likely on the 46,000-ha project. We will continue to apply our successful formula to build the gold inventory here. Puma is well positioned to develop Northern New Brunswick’s newest gold camp”.

Update : November 15, 2022

Puma Exploration launches expanded metallurgical study following 99.7% Au recovery from preliminary tests at Lynx

On November 15, 2022, Puma reported that it has launched a significant metallurgical study at its 100%-owned Williams Brook Gold Project in Northern New Brunswick. The Williams Brook Gold Project is composed of 6 claim blocks covering > 46,000 ha near paved roads and excellent policies. Good results from a preliminary metallurgical test conducted this past summer, with recovery of up to 99.7% Au (range of 98.7% to 99.7%) from samples drilled in 2021 at the Lynx Gold Zone (“LGZ”), militate for further metallurgical testing. Salient initial observations are:  Lynx Gold Zone samples contain negligible arsenic and sulfur; recovery required little cyanide (only 0.19 kg/t to 1.98 kg/t for optimal recovery) and simple gravity, using only a bench scale Knelson concentrator, recovered 92% gold. A larger-scale testing shall be designed to increase the representativity of the initial results and enhance the gold recovery at the Lynx Gold Zone.

No alt text provided for this image

Expanded Metallurgical tests: Puma has contracted Research & Productivity Council (“RPC”) from Fredericton, New Brunswick, an accredited laboratory, to conduct a preliminary recovery program on pulps and rejects from selected high-grade and low-grade drill core samples collected during its 2021 drilling campaign at the Lynx Gold Zone. Nearly 3,000 samples were processed, including 11 kg of high-grade quartz-rhyolite pulp samples, 9.5 kg and 6.5 kg of low-grade quartz-rhyolite pulp samples and low-grade quartz-rhyolite reject samples the head grade of low-grade material was calculated at 1.49 g/t Au vs 0.46 g/t Au (measured), indicating that a “nugget effect” is at play. The RPC study shall provide Puma with a flowsheet (recipe) for processing a future bulk sample. For this advanced study, the following material from the Lynx Gold Zone is planned to be processed: i) samples from 8 new HQ holes drilled this fall as well as ii) grab, chip and channel samples collected from 12 significant gold-bearing quartz veins uncovered during stripping work.

No alt text provided for this image
No alt text provided for this image

The 8 HQ drill holes total of 102 m, vary in length from 6 to 18 m, and were drilled on 3 main quartz veins. The HQ core sent to RPC shall be blended to make one representative sample for each hole. Surface sampling of quartz veins uncovered at surface by this summer’s stripping were collected from 12 large quartz veins representing a strike length of over 600 m at the Lynx Gold Zone. Samples from each vein were blended to represent that vein and sent to RPC in a total of twelve 45-gallon drums (one for each vein), totalling ~300 kg (600 lbs) each.

No alt text provided for this image

The expanded test shall be instrumental in optimizing Puma’s ongoing development at the LGZ and provide valuable data as Puma prepares for a bulk sample. Drilling has confirmed that the Lynx Gold Zone hosts a significant gold system and recall that the Cougar Gold Zone (“CGZ”) and Jaguar Gold Zone (“JGZ bear several similarities to the Lynx Gold Zone (“LGZ”).  Puma’s expanded metallurgical program is designed to better define the quality of gold mineralization at the Lynx Gold Zone, identify opportunities and potential challenges and further optimize recovery. Puma Exploration samples more high-grade gold at the Jaguar Gold Zone, Williams Brook Gold Project, New Brunswick

On December 13, 2022 Puma reported that grab samples, collected at the Jaguar Gold Zone ("JGZ") at its 100%-owned Williams Brook Gold Project in Northern New Brunswick, returned again up to 34.7 g/t Au. The 34.7 g/t Au in grab samples was collected at the Jaguar Gold Zone (“JGZ”) this fall as part of the Puma’s ongoing surface exploration program at i Williams Brook Gold Project. Results are consistent with widespread epithermal/orogenic gold systems, and Puma plans to extend stripping and launch an inaugural drill program at the JGZ in 2023. Recall on October 20, 2022 Puma had reported that grab sample results from initial stripping at the JGZ had returned up to 34.7 g/t Au; the average of 22 samples had given 10.51 g/t Au. Following these initial high-grade gold results, additional and systematic sampling was conducted this fall. A total of 98 additional samples were collected during this second phase of sampling. Sampling targeted the rhyolite/sediment contact with pervasive potassic-pyrite alteration and close to a major fault or its subsidiaries. We estimate for 33 disclosed samples an average of 5.26 g/t Au. Puma reports that over 60 samples returned over 0.10 g/t Au and the entire 98 additional new samples show an average grade of 1.91 g/t Au. To date, a total of 306 samples have been collected at the JGZ with an average grade of 1.72 g/t Au suggesting gold mineralization could be widespread. The gold-enrichment zone at the JGZ remains open in all directions, at depth and currently spans >80 m x 50 m with a coincident large IP anomaly.

Marcel Robillard, Puma’s President and CEO, stated: “Our results at the Jaguar Gold Zone confirm that we have another significant area of gold mineralization on the property. We know we’re not dealing with only one gold deposit at Williams Brook. Our objective is to build a gold camp in this part of New Brunswick. We will continue to advance work at Jaguar with the same approach that has proven to be so successful at Lynx - more stripping, sampling and an inaugural drilling program in 2023 while we continue to prioritize the development of the Lynx Gold Zone”.

Update : January 19, 2023

Puma Exploration discovers a 4th gold zone at Williams Brook with samples grading up to 9.87 g/t Au

On January 19, 2023, Puma reported the discovery of a 4th gold zone on its 100%-owned Williams Brook Gold Project in Northern New Brunswick, Atlantic Canada. The Williams Brook Project is comprised of 6 claim blocks covering more than 46,000ha in the established and mining-friendly jurisdiction of New Brunswick.  The Panthera Gold Zone (“PGZ”) is located ~12km NE of the Lynx Gold Zone (“LGZ”) along strike of the O’Neil Gold Trend. The discovery has the same geological characteristics as the other gold zones on the Williams Brook property: Lynx Gold Zone (“LGZ”); Jaguar (“JGZ”); Cougar (“CGZ”) and Panthera (“PGZ”) Gold Zones. These are defined by altered rhyolite containing mineralized quartz veins. Grab samples from the new PGZ returned up to 9.87 g/t Au. The zone was explored briefly last fall, and more work is planned for 2023. Puma’s work continues to prove the presence of a large porphyry/epithermal gold system at Williams Brook with the potential for multiple deposits on the large land package.

Panthera Gold Zone set to pounce: Last fall, up to 3 trenches were excavated on the PGZ for a total of 310m and quartz veins at surface were exposed that graded up to 9.87 g/t Au, 8.67 g/t Au, 7.45 g/t, 6.18 g/t Au, 5.92 g/t Au, 5.15 g/t Au, 4.05 g/t gold and 3.27 g/t Au with grab samples. This new gold discovery, similar to the LGZ, is located at the contact of a low/high magnetic anomaly and coincides with significant gold enrichment in soil samples collected by Puma in 2022. Puma’s soil survey covered 3.8km x 1.5km and identified 6 distinct gold anomalies over a 2.5km trend. This success of the preliminary sampling on the newly identified PGZ is encouraging and leads to District scale size endowment potential.  Puma intends follow-up work for 2023 and the area is near paved roads and has excellent infrastructure nearby.

Puma continues to successfully apply its discovery model developed at the Lynx Gold Zone: The Williams Brook land package is located near the Rocky Brook Millstream Fault (“RBMF”), a major regional structure formed during the Appalachian Orogeny and a significant control for gold deposition in the region. The LGZ remains Puma’s main area of focus and is interpreted to be a mineralized felsic dome within a large gold system. Recall it was discovered in 2020 by high-grade surface samples and later recognized at depth in 2021 by hole WB21-02 that intersected 5.55 g/t Au over 50.15 m from surface. A follow-up 10,000 m (113 holes) drilling program identified several new high-grade veins at Lynx.
