Recently, our BRAVE team held a data review meeting to celebrate their accomplishments for the 2024-2025 school year. BRAVE aims to break down the stigma surrounding mental health assistance, eliminate barriers to receiving support and ensure families have access to the services they need to thrive. As the sixth school year since implementing BRAVE has concluded, we want to highlight the program's impact on our community. Since its launch in 2019, BRAVE has received over 10,000 referrals, with more than 5,300 processed during the 2024-2025 school year alone. This past spring, BRAVE expanded its services to Sumter County, increasing the total coverage to nine counties. The BRAVE program plans to add Marion County this coming fall, bringing the total to ten counties by the end of 2025. The service areas currently include St. Johns, Clay, Putnam, Nassau, Columbia, Okaloosa, Volusia, Lake and Sumter. After 49 and a half years of dedicated service, Gloria Daniele is officially retiring from UF Health Flagler Hospital. She began her journey with us in January 1976, as a charge nurse in the ICU during the night shift. She later took leadership roles in the ER and served in the OR before finally finding her passion in IT, where she supported physicians and helped implement our electronic health record systems. Through every role, one thing never changed: her love for this hospital and the people in it. Gloria shared, "I stayed at UF Health Flagler Hospital because I love what I do and the people I work with. If I were 20 years younger, I wouldn't retire." UF Health St. Johns is fortunate to have team members who have been with us for many years. Last week, we celebrated individuals who reached significant milestones of 35, 25, 20 and 15 years of service. In total, 41 team members have reached these milestones. We are grateful for their dedication to our patients, fellow team members and the community.

Christine Murray, a registered nurse care coordinator, has been named employee of the month for consistently going above and beyond for her patients. She recently helped a patient being discharged to short-term rehab by cleaning out their U-Haul parked at UF Health Flagler Hospital. With no family or friends available, she dedicated her time to ensure the U-Haul was empty and coordinated pickup with U-Haul to avoid extra charges for the patient. Well deserved, Christine!
