Who You Are
The HR Business Partner works with leaders to develop and implement HR strategies for performance, talent, organizational effectiveness, coaching, and engagement. Success in this role requires translating business priorities into people strategies, strategic and tactical thinking, and effective collaboration. The HRBP uses data to analyze issues, spot trends, and improve programs to engage and grow the workforce.
The HRBP also partners with leaders to teach and reinforce Versar culture and leadership principles throughout the employee experience.
What You’ll Do
Provide strategic partnership and counsel to business leaders and employees, ensuring employee advocacy and fairness.
Support your leadership teams through all People processes including compensation, talent development, performance management, employee relations, change management, organizational design, etc.
Understand business goals as well as design and implement innovative approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within the Association.
Function as the primary driver and leader in all your clients’ people related activities and programs.
Coach and develop leaders at all levels within the organization, from line managers through executives.
Utilize qualitative and quantitative data to inform key business and talent decisions.
Collaborate with other HR functions (compensation, recruiting, talent management, learning and development, etc.) to inform the design and implementation of HR programs. Collaborate with business unit leaders to identify business priorities. Ensure the alignment of the businesspeople plan, roadmap, programs, and tools with business strategic goals.
Support your business unit with organizational planning (i.e., talent, structure, culture, process) driven by business needs.
Apply knowledge of the future direction of the organization to guide talent assessment and make decisions on talent needs and solutions (e.g., whether to build, buy, or borrow talent).
Ensures execution of regular performance reviews, organizational leadership reviews, and succession planning (in conjunction with Talent Management strategy)
In partnership with management lead the implementation of effective systems and practices of performance management.
In partnership with Talent Development support development of strategic talent plans and ensure the alignment with organizational strategy, data (e.g., attrition rates, hiring trends) and budgets.
Lead changes to new or existing programs or processes for the business unit. Foster change with business leaders and facilitate change implementation throughout.
Support and guide business unit leadership teams on their business and culture transformation process. Apply understanding of internal and external business drivers to guide the leadership team through ongoing business evolution and changing ways of working.
Function as a culture ambassador, fostering diversity and inclusion.
Mentor, develop, and inspire other HR professionals in a high growth, rapidly changing environment by including setting the tone, agenda, and direction of the HR team and providing the necessary support, follow up, and leadership to ensure the team achieves desired results.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of local employment law, and regulation.
Proactively manage and resolve employee relations issues; ensure manager and employee compliance with company policies and procedures; thoroughly investigate employee-relations issues and HR complaints and escalate complex or high-risk situations as needed. Be able to make decisions based on experience, only engaging legal counsel on complex matters.
Build effective relationships with leaders and managers in your region to support them to manage their teams.
What You’ll Bring
Minimum of high school diploma/GED and twelve (12) years of experience in a related field or a combination of the following: BS plus 8 years of experience or MS plus 6 years of experience or PhD plus 3 years of experience.
Ability to travel to supported sites as needed
Strong business and technology acumen—able to quickly learn the business and make talent and org decisions which Impact business outcomes.
Able to comfortably move between strategic issues and day-to-day HR operations.
Functional experience with the Microsoft Office suite, advanced Excel skills a plus
Successful results of pre-employment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen.
Comply with company drug and alcohol policy.
Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate’s start date.
Location Requirements
The position will primarily work onsite in Marshall Islands.
