I enjoyed Gilgareth's 'Kaiser Reto' so much that I decided to work out how to play it, and then one thing led to another.

Besides a short sample at the start, this is completely remade, so it's an old-fashioned cover version rather than a remix. I used many sounds that you may recognise from other Paladin tracks, such as the dwarven choir from Cavern Dwellers, the bass from Argorhythm, that classic DX7 harpsichord and of course the ubiquitous orchestra hit. Special guest appearance by the same Roland D50 'PizzaGoGo' preset that Enya used in 'Orinoco Flow'.

Happy to say that it has Gilgareth's stamp of approval. I had lots of fun making this, I hope you enjoy it too.

This is what you get when you combine a love of fantasy with a love of retro computing. A short listen, but fun from beginning to end. This will have me checking out more of Gilgareth's music, a unique and interesting take on the DS genre with a distinctly medieval Germanic feel.
