And just like that … we’re seven days into August. I feel like July 4th was a week ago, and I was carefree at the beach. Now, here we are, thinking about fall trade shows, conferences and trying to figure out what the kids need for school in just a couple of weeks. Maybe you’re hoping to get in one more road trip or two before you’re into the full swing of all that fall will bring. That was my case recently when I took a trip to visit the Vitro Architectural Glass Glass Technology Center near Pittsburgh. I had the opportunity to chat with Ricardo Maiz about everything from his experience and career with Vitro to some of the trends and challenges the industry is facing. Por 6to año, Vitro Envases continuo con la búsqueda de talentos en el mundo del diseño a través de la convocatoria a nuestro concurso "INNOVA DISEÑO", a más de 57 universidades a nivel México y Latinoamerica para las carreras de diseño grafico, industrial y afines. Los aspirantes desarrollaron anteproyectos de envases para perfume de dama o caballero de 50-75 ml, como resultado de esta sexta edición recibimos más de 250 proyectos de los cuales se seleccionaron 10 finalistas, proyectos destacados por su creatividad e innovación. El pasado 31 de julio se llevo a cabo la ceremonia de premiación donde se contó con un distinguido jurado integrado por: Jafra, Stanhome, Fuller, L'Oreal. AMME, El mundo del envase, Givaudan, Vitro, quienes seleccionaron a los tres ganadores de esta edición. Estamos muy felices por toda la participación que hubo en esta edición y sin duda, estamos ansiosos por el siguiente año. ¡Gracias a todos por tan excelente trabajo y contribución a este gran evento! ¡Enhorabuena a nuestros ganadores. !
