Mammoet is proud to have supported Suncor in a major project to replace eight coke drums at its oil sands operation near Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada. We utilized one of the world’s largest cranes to lift the massive drums into place safely and ahead of schedule. Check out this great video from Suncor – more to come soon! #Mammoet #Canada #OilGas

Following the successful relocation of Kiruna's church, our teams have moved its historic belfry along the same cross-town route. Inaugurated in 1907 - and hence older than the church itself - its 180t frame was handled with care by our SPMT crew. Twelve twenty meter masts support two bells inside the structure, which stands nearly thirty meters tall, overall. LKAB Veidekke #Mammoet #Mining #Kiruna

After being built between the active runways at Portland International Airport (PDX) for over a year, these roof panels took a short journey to their new home. Each panel, referred to as a super module, was installed using a range of methods including stand jacks & skidding, rollers and cranes, due to their timber construction. Passengers now await flights under 49 skylights and a roof structure that can be traced to an hour's drive away from the airport. 📸: Port of Portland Skanska Hoffman Construction Company #Mammoet #Airports #SPMT

Mammoet successfully transported and installed the 358t main transformer for EnBW's new hydrogen-ready ‘Fuel Switch’ combined cycle gas turbine power plant in Altbach, Germany. After offloading it from a river vessel and storing it for a period, our team ensured precise handling and positioning despite challenging site conditions such as limited ground bearing pressure and tight space. To bridge the narrow foundation in front of the transformer cell, our engineering and site teams designed and built a special temporary platform. After positioning the transformer, the platform was carefully removed through additional jacking steps. The transformer was then accurately placed on rails and pulled into its final position using a 30t hydraulic winch. #Mammoet #EnergyTransition

This is one of twenty pieces of a seismically isolated roof that Mammoet helped to install at Portland International Airport (PDX). Constructed from regionally and sustainably sourced wood, they were transported carefully across the tarmac, at just over one km/h. Four Mega Jack 800 towers jacked each panel up to around 17m, allowing a smooth transfer for each from the laydown yard, before they were skidded into place, for Skanska. 📸: Port of Portland Hoffman Construction Company #Mammoet #Airports #Civil

📢 Now arriving at Gate 12: the roof! ✈️ As part of its PDX Next terminal project, which is set to double the footprint and passenger capacity at Portland International Airport (PDX), Mammoet helped to install its stunning timber roof. Delivering the roof sections in large pieces reduced disruption at the terminal, as they could be transported relatively swiftly, with minimal apron closures. The largest section measured 72x50x6m, weighing in at 632t. 📸: Port of Portland | Skanska | ZGF Architects Hoffman Construction Company #Mammoet #Airports #Construction
