Friday just got even better: Ensor is up for an award! Last year, we had the pleasure of working on the major Ensor exhibition at the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp (KMSKA). And just in: the project has been nominated for the SBID® - Society of British & International Interior Design Awards 2025! Together with KMSKA & brilliant partners, we brought Ensor’s world to life through theatrical scenography, layered storytelling, and playful contrasts that reflect his unique vision. New milestone: big steps for ancient stones! Together with RYSE and our client, we developed the masterplan for the future ‘Hunebed Museum Geopark De Hondsrug’ in the north of the Netherlands. In this new museum, geology, archaeology and landscape come together in a powerful experience. One that starts in the ground and leads you out into the land. A future-proof, sustainable and inclusive museum that tells the story of the region – from the Ice Ages to today – in an immersive and compelling way. The exhibition explores how Wilhelmina, Juliana, and Beatrix shaped their reigns, and how public perception and societal shifts influenced their leadership. And here's another project we wrapped up this season: step into the story of Utrecht in the Netherlands! On the 2nd of June, exactly 903 years after Utrecht became a city, Lofen palace officially reopened with a brand new finale, an immersive film that brings the city's founding to life. A few years ago, we had the honour of designing the rest of this remarkable site, and this final piece was part of the long-term plan. Now the time has come, journey back to 1122, to the very spot where history was made. Explore hidden ruins beneath the Domplein, join a guided tour, and experience the moment Utrecht was granted city rights like never before. New layers of experience at the European Hansemuseum in Lübeck! On 27 May, the European Hansemuseum celebrated its 10th anniversary with the festive opening of an enriched visitor journey — featuring a new immersive finale film and subtle experiential additions in key transitional spaces. A fresh perspective on Hanseatic history, ten years on. We were entrusted with the task of enhancing the museum experience through storytelling that bridges past and present, showcasing the Legacy of the Hanse. At Tinker, we not only design narrative spaces, we often develop the underlying concepts as well. As a strategic partner of De Haar Castle in the Netherlands, we created a conceptual masterplan to enhance their visitor experience. Together with the castle, we are further developing and implementing it, one part at a time. One of the steps is a new hospitality concept. Designed to reflect the unique atmosphere of the castle, it completes the visitor journey, making guests feel like the castle's guests of today. A key part recently opened: Tuynhuis Gabrielle (formerly an aviary), with Gabrielle as its inspiration and figurehead. It was officially inaugurated by Vanessa, Baroness Van Zuylen van Nijevelt. A wonderful milestone in the ongoing invigoration of this remarkable place. Proud to keep shaping the future of this iconic site. Our collaboration has already introduced several immersive elements, such as animated storytelling throughout the rooms and the newly revamped pavilion. And there's more to come: we're currently working on a dedicated children's layer (more on that soon!). Our Ensor exhibition at KMSKA has won a Creative Review Annual Award 2025 🤩 Creative Review #CRAnnualAwards2025 -------------------- A touch of chaos, a flash of wonder; Ensor knows how to make an impression. And it seems the Creative Review jury thought so too: our exhibition about the famous painter at KMSKA has been shortlisted for their Annual Awards 2025. After Turning Heads, this was our second journey with Koninklijk Museum voor Schone Kunsten Antwerpen (KMSKA). It's great to see the Ensor project getting noticed by the industry as well, and we're proud to be on the shortlist alongside so much inspiring work.
