We’re proud to share that The Plus – our factory and visitor center in Magnor, designed in collaboration with BIG - Bjarke Ingels Group – has been named one of 17 finalists for the Danish Design Award 2025🎉 This award celebrates the transformative power of design – how it shapes the world, drives sustainable change, and improves lives. “That’s why it’s such an honor to see The Plus recognized as a finalist among Denmark’s most forward-thinking design projects,” says Bjørn Fjellstad, CEO of Vestre. Nestled in the forests of Magnor, The Plus is the world’s most environmentally friendly furniture factory. It brings together transparency, innovation, and sustainability in a dynamic, open production space. With its circular design, use of renewable energy, and glass-walled openness, The Plus is both a factory and a public destination – proving that modern industry can be responsible, inspiring and beautiful. As the jury put it: “What if a factory could be more than a place of production and a place for the people?” The awards ceremony will take place in Copenhagen this November. Postcard from wonderful Copenhagen💌    A heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited us at the Opera Park during 3daysofdesign! This lush, much-loved park is already a favorite spot for locals and visitors – and we wanted to build on that. Together with note (design studio), we created a vibrant installation that was open, playful, and welcoming to all – with live opera and a DJ setting the tone.    For over 75 years, Vestre has believed that good design brings people together. And that’s exactly what happened: over three sunny days, people paused, connected, and turned this green space into their own.    To all of you who stopped by – and to our wonderful collaborators – thank you for making it such a memorable experience!    #3daysofdesign #socialmeetingplaces #scandinaviandesign 

Introducing the bench IMMATERIAL, designed by Vincent Laine and manufactured by Vestre🙌 It starred yesterday in the scenography for Jacques Cartier Studio’s menswear presentation at Paris Fashion Week!⁠⁠ ⁠ "From an industrial perspective, it doesn't make any sense, but from an artistic perspective, it's spectacular. The way we combined a rather rough steel material with this beautiful piece of wood – it's something that's never been done before. And when we finally joined the two together, something happened. Renowned German landscape architect Nikolai Soyka and his agency schöne aussichten landschaftsarchitektur (sala) believe that cities should be more than just functional and neat – they should be playful, inviting, and full of life🙌⁠ ⁠ Too often, public spaces are predictable and practical, with flat, even surfaces. Partnering with Vestre, they set out to reshape the urban landscape – creating spaces that spark interaction, creativity, and re-greening🍀⁠ ⁠ Inspired by natural landscapes, they designed UNITY – a modular furniture system that empowers landscape architects and city planners to transform urban environments. Being influenced from the "outside-in" is part of Vestre's philosophy. That's why we've always worked with independent designers as our driver of new product development. For the Immaterial project, we wanted to work with not just an independent designer, but a designer who comes from outside our industry altogether. Anagram's creative perspective is to depict a far-fetched near future. Objects for the few. Vestre, on the other hand, is built on modernist Scandinavian design aesthetics and material principles and makes products at the service of creating social meeting places. The spirit of Allemansretten. For the many. For Vestre, this project marks a conversation between the two, because both Anagram and Vestre imagine a tomorrow that is somehow better, more interesting, and more beautiful than today. “Next week, the bench and mirror will take centre stage in Paris as part of the scenography for Jacques Cartier Studio’s menswear presentation during fashion week.
