🚀 AI is transforming healthcare across Central and Eastern Europe At the Central and Eastern European Management Days 2025 in Budapest last week, I witnessed first-hand how digital innovation is moving from vision to reality. Bringing together leaders from across the region, the event was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when we collaborate across borders. In my keynote “AI@PHX,” I shared how PHOENIX group - Integrated Healthcare Provider, is already leveraging AI, for example:  • Inventory Cockpit: Advanced analytics for greater transparency and smarter decision-making  • Dynamic Pricing: AI-powered software that automatically optimizes prices based on real-time market data  • Large Language Models-based Chat and Voicebots: Automated customer service channels to improve support and reduce call volumes It is impressive to see how rapidly digital transformation is accelerating across our sector. At the Data Spaces Symposium in Warsaw, I emphasized three key success factors for Data Spaces during my opening speech: ✅ End-User Integration – Design with and for users to ensure real impact. ✅ Real-World Use Cases – Move beyond theory to practical adoption. ✅ Financial Sustainability – Build viable business models beyond public funding. In today’s geopolitical climate, we must also deepen discussions on international data governance to ensure Europe remains competitive and resilient. Data Spaces can transform industries—but only if they are usable, valuable, and sustainable. Let’s make them work!

Europe can’t afford to play it safe. If we want digital leadership, our public institutions must be bolder, faster, and open to AI-driven innovation. As the Polish Presidency of the EU Council concluded yesterday, the Digital Summit in Gdańsk, organized by Ministerstwo Cyfryzacji, left no doubt: Europe’s competitiveness depends on how quickly we turn digital ambition into delivery — with AI as the engine. Kama Kloc (DG CONNECT) reminded us that 85% of EU citizens want European companies to scale globally. That vision requires faster AI adoption, cross-border interoperability, and scalable digital infrastructure. Yet national silos, skills gaps, and regulatory inertia are slowing us down. Governments must lead by example — using AI, enabling rapid experimentation, and building strong public-private partnerships. It was a pleasure to join Kama Kloc, Silvana Muscella, Michał Broniewicz, and our excellent moderators dr Michał Boni and Jakub Bińkowski in this timely discussion. Oxford Economics has just published its Global Cities Index 2025, ranking 1,000 cities worldwide based on economy, quality of life, education, environment, and governance.🏆 Poznań again ranks in the top 3 Polish cities: Warsaw – #170 Wrocław – #175 Poznań – #176 Miasto Poznań stands out again with the highest score in the Economics category among all Polish cities. This confirms that #Poznań remains one of Poland’s strongest and most stable economic centers. Poznań is doing an excellent job attracting and supporting investors, keeping the lowest unemployment rate, and building a vibrant local economy.
