On Tuesday, we had the privilege of welcoming a group of professors from the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria (IPL) to our facilities in Gala for a very productive meeting! 🎓 It was a day of open and constructive dialogue, reinforcing the essential bridge between academia and industry. During this meeting, we explored various opportunities for cooperation in crucial areas such as Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Robotics, and related fields. The focus was on creating internship protocols, developing applied research projects, and joint participation in academic events. 🚀 This meeting represents a significant step towards establishing partnerships that will strengthen the link between academic knowledge and practical application, benefiting not only students and researchers but also our company. We have some excellent news to share! 🤩 Microplásticos was delighted to donate €400 to the Cova da Serpe Kindergarten! This amount, the result of our latest social mission, will be used for a very special purpose: to purchase a wooden house where the children can store all their toys. 🎁 It is an important step towards an even more organized and happy play area. We believe that every contribution makes a difference in the lives of children and the quality of their play area. It was with great pleasure that Microplásticos hosted the conference “Automotive Plastic Parts - The Contribution of Plastics to the Circular Economy”, organized by AFIA - Associação Portuguesa dos Fornecedores da Indústria Automóvel, as part of the Hi-rEV - Recovery of the Automotive Components Sector agenda. 💡 This event was a crucial platform for sharing knowledge and debating the fundamental role of plastics in the transition to a more circular and sustainable economy. 🌍 The automotive industry in particular stood out, where innovation and environmental responsibility go hand in hand. 🤝 The Hi-rEV project brings together a robust consortium of 22 partners - companies, associations and organizations from the National Scientific and Technological System - with the mission of transforming the automotive cluster towards electrification and digitalization. This is a mobilizing agenda under the PRR - Recovery and Resilience Plan, co-financed by the European Union through NextGenerationEU. At our recent anniversary event, the morning was dedicated to a super fun and challenging team building dynamic: Monopoly Team Edition! 🎉 We believe that creating united and efficient teams is essential, and this fun activity was perfect for stimulating cooperation, creativity and solving group challenges. Our teams immersed themselves in an immersive experience, moving around a giant board, handling money, and facing the twists and turns of the game! 💰🏦 It was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to show off their strategic skills, negotiation and decision-making abilities, all with a lot of fun. The result? Stronger teams, improved communication and a spirit of collaboration that was felt at every turn! In the end, the team that accumulated the most “money” was the winner, showing that performance is a combination of luck and strategy!
