We were honoured to host delegates from Tung Wah Group Of Hospitals at our KiddiWinkie Schoolhouse centre in Mountbatten. During their visit, we welcomed the team from Jolly Playland, the Group’s early childhood services division, for a meaningful exchange of ideas. Our team showcased our centre facilities and learning environment, while the delegates shared valuable perspectives on the early childhood education landscape in Hong Kong. 🤝 Cross-border collaborations like these create opportunities for knowledge sharing and global dialogue, enabling us to learn from one another and refine our practices. They also reflect Babilou Family Singapore’s dedication to collective growth within the global early childhood education community. #crosscountrycollaboration #learningacrossborders #earlychildhoodeducation #earlylearning #preschooleducation

Learning Beyond Walls: Bringing Nature Into Every Child’s Education At our preschools, learning extends far beyond the classroom. Even in centres without dedicated outdoor spaces, we actively bring children outdoors – into parks, gardens and community areas – to let them experience the world around them. These experiences help children: - Cultivate curiosity through real-world exploration - Build a sense of responsibility and connection with nature - Develop confidence and resilience as they adapt to new environments This is part of our Sustainable Education® approach, where nature-based learning plays a key role in shaping well-rounded individuals who grow up with an appreciation for the world they live in.

The earliest moments of a child’s life shape the way they see themselves, the world, and their place in it. Rowena Mark Ramos, our Head of Curriculum, reminds us that every connection, every experience, and every smile matters. Because behind every early experience lies the potential for a lifetime of confidence, joy and meaningful growth.
Such an inspiring experience it was to gain new insights and build meaningful connections at the recent KLCII Conference 2025. It was a privilege to learn from experts like Professor Adele Diamond, PhD, FRSC whose research on Executive Functions in young children continues to shape best practices, and Dr. Tseng Shu Hsien from Chung Yuan Christian University, who shared valuable perspectives on child development. I was grateful and honoured to represent Babilou Family Singapore and share about how Positive Early Experiences shape children’s development. Every interaction, environment, and relationship in a child’s early years plays a vital role in their lifelong learning journey. Looking forward to many more opportunities to learn, share, and advocate for quality early childhood experiences. Thank you KLCII for the opportunity. #BabilouFamilySingapore #EarlyChildhoodEducation #PositiveExperiences

Last week, our centres were filled with meaningful conversations and engaging activities in celebration of Racial Harmony Day. Through music, games, creative craftwork and parent-led sessions, our children explored the rich tapestry of cultures that make up Singapore. Educators guided them in learning about different ethnic groups, sharing stories about traditional costumes, food, and cultural celebrations. These experiences helped our little ones appreciate the importance of respect, kindness, and understanding for one another’s differences. With the support of parents and educators, we created a memorable celebration that reflects the values of unity and harmony in a multicultural society. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this day so special. #EarlyChildhoodEducation #PreschoolEducation #ValuesInEducation #MulticulturalLearning #RespectAndKindness

This year’s Learning Day took on a refreshing twist – trading in classroom-style sessions for immersive, hands-on activities that pushed every one of us out of our comfort zone. From overcoming physical challenges to team-based activities, each moment was crafted to ignite our resilience, grit, and determination – core traits that reflect the strength of our Babilou Family spirit. Rooted in our values of Team Spirit and Continuous Learning, Learning Day is more than just a company event. It’s a space where we grow, adapt and evolve together – so we can show up stronger for the children and families we serve. Because when we stretch our limits as individuals, we grow stronger together 💪✨ #TeamSpirit #earlychildhoodeducation #companyculture #earlychildhoodeducators #LearningDay

How can we cultivate sustainability as a mindset from the earliest years? Our Head of Curriculum, Rowena Mark Ramos, recently joined CNA938 Radio to share her insights on introducing sustainability to preschoolers — not just through one-off lessons, but as part of a meaningful, everyday learning experience. At Babilou Family Singapore, this belief is embedded within our Sustainable Education® framework, where sustainability is more than a theme — it’s a way of thinking, doing, and being.
I’ll admit! I was nervous going into my first live radio interview, but incredibly grateful (and excited!) for the opportunity to speak with Susan Ng on Your Singapore Weekend on CNA938. We discussed the importance of starting sustainability education early, especially in our preschools. I believe it is not enough to just leave behind a healthier planet for our children; we play an essential part in nurturing a relationship between children and nature. Only when they feel that connection and discover the wonders of nature, will they develop the sense of responsibility to care for it! 🌱 Our role as adults/ educators is to equip children with the knowledge and model the love to do so. When sustainability becomes a lived experience in the early years, it becomes part of who they are. 💚 🌍 Let’s raise a generation that protects what it cherishes!
