Despite popular belief this game isnt bad at all. However, is it more simplistic than other titles? yes, does it have the most ugliest huds in the franchise? yes, does it still have glitches and crashes? yes. Despite all of that this game still carries its weight with high detailed auto generation that the series desperately needed a upgrade in and it is achieved perfectly here. Unit fortifications are now animated with wooden barriers and fences, npcs can now actually do viable things on their own instead of just being there for you to use, the game seems to be more vibrant with colors, the difficulties seem more balanced, and the new systems they added really adds a good layer towards challenge and gameplay overall. And lets not forget to mention you get the storms dlc from civ 6 in this game for free instead of paying a arm and a leg.

7/ i went from zero to owning three farms in only 2 simple tricks and you can too if you sign up for my course at a low price of 10 trillion gold

This game although good for its genre and for the series as a whole leaves to be desired more by the lack of life it leaves behind after each playthrough. Every npc in the game will randomly interrupt you throughout the game to simply insult you and then leave to maybe in a few days to come back and insult you again for no good reason. Ah, such a relief, reminds me of my younger years. You of course have no other counter dialogue options and are forced to take it raw, tell norway to stop bullying me. I know my face is ugly and i may be a disgrace to god himself but you dont have to sail 5 thousand miles across the ocean to tell me this and then leave.

7/ i turn barbarian mode off

Coming from Storm 4 with 400 hours in it id say this game reminds me of home. It gives me that exact feel that ive been missing since storm 4 and i love it. Some things better, some things worse, the better being the customization and graphics, the worse being the connection being less desirable. 1 out of 5 matches youll be in ends suddenly in a error code or a rage quit. And even if you do find a match youll end up with insane lag or insane input lag..... but heres the thing, this stuff only happens in ranked mode, in casual mode none of these issues pop up. So if youre getting this game for the multiplayer like i am then stick to casual for the steady gameplay.

Okay after three matches and being a beta tester heres my initial release review in easy format.

Pros
- Feels like a old school mech game. Reminds me of when i was a kid at the arcade and got into one of those big machines with the rumble chair and big speakers on each side of the seat with actual mech like controllers with triggers.... the nostalgia here for that kinda niche is VERY HEAVY which gives this game a few extra points in my opinion.

- The sound and art design is exactly what you'd expect a top tier mech game would be, excellent and well designed.

- The gameplay is actually not gonna lie the best out of any other mech game out right now.

Cons
- The language upon initial startup is locked at chinese
- Locked at DX11
- EXTREMELY aggressive microtransaction practices
- Less customization compared to the beta so they can sell it later
- No outfits for male characters except a chinese monk robe....
- Obvious gooner bait

Overall this game is clearly the next Naraka, soon to be plagued with foreigners and obviously marketed towards them as well seeing the entire fact that the game doesnt even recognize youre from anywhere other than china initially and every cosmetics right off the bat is chinese themed... The devs clearly focused their attention to the asian market and nothing here really screams towards us westerners. This is also a classic example of wait a few months to a year maybe itll get better.... or maybe not either way its not looking good.

A great game with a even greater community behind it. Graphics could be better but its a old game anyways and the fact that this game is over a decade old and still holds such a large playerbase speaks pure volumes at how good this game is alone. The only downside of this entire game is that it can get pretty expensive but thats due for the course being a free to play. I remember a time when management was forced in this game and it was going downhill but over the years it has done nothing but improve entirely.

This game both runs and looks good, mechanics wise very good and gameplay very good as well. What this game ultimately falls flat on is of course the team mates you get matched with..... ive lost thousands of characters solely because theres always one person on your team that thinks they are rambo, born again jesus christ and runs away from us and also the objective to rush down a full team solo and dies right out in the middle of the open. so that leaves me and the other teammate to face against probably two full teams alone while also defending the objective by ourselves.

guys..... i cannot say this enough.... STAY WITH THE TEAM AND LEAVE YOUR EGO AT THE DOOR!

Realistic Review

All these high praises from these fake game journalists who've been paid off (clearly) to make upstanding and over the top reviews and scores are absolutely corrupt and have been for decades. This is why i review games, someone who will actually give the truth regardless of outcome.

Graphics- Looks great and decent, however it lacks any real color and ultimately falls flat to deliver anything groundbreaking.

Story- Apparently its just a alternate universe inside the main protagonist's dreams and after that nothing else.

Sound- Extremely mid, absolutely nothing to say about it.

Now to the gameplay, absolutely boring after a mere 20 to 30 hours after which you've seen everything. Every dungeon, every hill, every grain of sand, every worm, everything. Some side quests even repeat themselves so the things you've already cleared...... yeah just go right back and clear it again. It lacks any sort of imagination, any creative design, completely throws fun out of the window entirely. In between doing a quest you've done for the 5th time already you'll then have to grind for hours to farm materials which requires you to use materials to even get there and oh but wait to even use those materials you got you have to use yet another farmable material to even use the material you just farmed for hours. It seems the entirety of the gameplay loop surrounds itself with repeated A to Bs to distract the player from the reality that it has nothing of value to give outside of that. The end game is even more boring than the actual base game itself, youre to simply navigate a very zoomed in HORRENDOUSLY designed map to find the deep desert and then go into that map, proceed to travel across nothing but empty desert for HOURS to find a very small amount of purple sand so you can fly down, hit it with a stick, gather it, then fly out....... thats the entirety of end game.... gathering SAND. WOW SO FUN GUYS.

And dont let me get into pvp, insanely bad, the worst pvp experience in years. Takes literally a million bullets to down ONE SINGLE PLAYER and thats just a MAYBE, 1v1s are ultimately just a act of useless standoff that goes back and forth for hours until both parties give up and walk away, party pvps ultimately arent fun either because the animations are bad anyways and are ripped straight out of the ps2 days with literally no impact or passion to it and the whole thing feels absolutely worthless to even participate in because you waste a million bullets for very little resources in return.

The performance, yep you guessed it, bad. Yet another modern game that cant run properly who would've guessed. Hitches everywhere, Lag everywhere, 200 latency just randomly, buildings just pop in. Its just ridiculous. I have a 9070XT btw, its not the system its the optimization. And with every update it gets even worse because the devs dont know how to fix anything about their game.

Ultimately this game leaves nothing to be desired at the end of the day and feels like a waste of money unless it goes on sale for 20 or 30 bucks at the max.

Honestly its not that bad, the quests are plentiful and often times could be considered overwhelming so theres no shortage of things to do. Side quests sometimes branch out into full quests which is a good feature, main quests are eh but decent enough, plenty of faction quests too which all of them come with their own full own campaign too. Gameplay is solid, although i wish they would've replaced the regular guns with more blasters instead seeing how this is a space game in the future but thats whatever. Performance is such a massive relief from these other modern horrible games that dont even care to put any optimization at all into their game. Steady high fps all on ultra, i literally sighed with relief because i get literally no hitches nor lag its as smooth as your girlfriends arse. But i think ultimately what holds this game back is a painfully average main storyline which isnt even 40% of the game anyways and the main npcs which.... i mean sam coe is the most useless, walked on, p-word man ive ever met and im not even lying. Everything you do sam will dislike it and then will cry to you for hours on end about some sort of k-drama bs story that he has in his life. If i could id open up the airlocks in space and have sam jump out but i cant. But besides those downsides its really not that bad as much as people say it is.

8 / Starship Fuel

This game is the most worst optimized game outside of stalker 2. I have a 9070xt a gpu that literally just came out and no matter what i do i get fps hitches all the way down to the 30s, ive messed with the in-game settings, my gpu configs, everything and yet nothing helps at all. The fps cap of 60 is fine to me.... that is if it even stayed there to begin with which it never does. Outside of performance issues the gameplay is fine, meh and mid but only because the time limit is so short. The ring feels like it starts closing in on you within the first 2 seconds.... how am i or my team suppose to do ANYTHING within a 2 second window??? If it wasnt for such a short time period the game would flow so much better and be so much more worth the price but sadly it feels like its rushing content that also never changes despite it being a roguelike.

A massive huge disappointment to a game that i was EXTREMELY excited for....
