  Sticking out like a flower-patterned thumb amongst the grey and brown hues of the serious boys in the early 2000s Cardiff music scene, THE LOVES soon established themselves as a band who categorically didn’t listen to Radiohead.
  Backed by a number of indie hit singles and four smash-packed albums, they had several live outings for the BBC – including the two sides here, featuring a seven-song outing for the legendary John Peel at Maida Vale (plus a Queen cover at Peel Acres) and the best of several visits to Salford to record for Marc Riley.
